Your predictions for 2008?

Another year flies by. Now, what are your predictions for next year? Who will be governor-elect? Who will be president-elect? Will the housing market make a comeback? Any prediction is fair game...

My predictions: We are going to pay hell for electing a Democrat President with increased taxes & mandated Socialized Medicine...
Oh Good Grief...there goes my inheritence!

Rossi will be Govenor for the 2nd time, oh I mean LEGALLY again the 2nd time, but serving finally in the Govenor's Seat, cleaning-up & going after the spendy state legislature & offices, with internal audits...FINALLY!

I also believe we will have a scandal or more changes uncovered at the new 787 and other programs.

Rossi will be elected Governor in 2008 yea!!! THe huge issue will be the viaduct this year and Gregoire had better make the right decision on that one, because this is what is going to cost her the election. Last but not least by any means: Taxes will be a huge issue in 2008. The Governor and the Mayor need to stop asking and demanding new taxes. In 2008 we need to all take a big breather and request no new taxes. We cant afford to live in Washington state as it is right now. So stop with the taxes in 2008!!

The Ron Paul Revolution will bring our country back to the people!

Freedom, Prosperity, and Peace.

Wow, I think the big one for 2008 will be Rossi. He will be elected Governor. Gregoire will be out because she wants taxes, taxes, and more taxes. I agree with the other comment posted regarding the viaduct. It will be a huge issue and believe me, we need a viaduct. Tim Eyman will continue with his tax crusades, thank god for that. What would all of us do without him? Thank your Governor and Mayor for continuing to add more new taxes on our already burdened backs. I am sure in 2008, they will add more taxes for us to pay unless we put a stop to it. Let your voices be heard, email your council members,(even though they never respond back), email the governor, email the mayor. Let your voices be heard, I do all the time.

Ron Paul will be elected president and a real patriot will sit in the White House rather than a war-mongering emperor wannabe who hides his real intentions behind nice words like "Patriot Act".

Ron Paul will be elected in a land slide victory stunning the political pundits and those who have been asleep this past year. Anyone paying attention with an open mind will not be surprised.

Ron Paul will surprise EVERYONE and WIN.

Rossi will get re-elected. Things will start to change (finally) for the better.

I, too, believe that Ron Paul will surprise everyone and win the 2008 Presidential election. The reason I feel this way is because people are fed up with the status quo, the continual flip-flopping of the candidates or candidates only telling the voters what they think they want to hear. Ron Paul not only talks the talk, he walks the walk and his record clearly shows this. Our country has been in a rapidly decending dwindling spiral for quite sometime now, and Ron Paul is the only one who has a clear-cut plan for getting us out of this mess. For more information see www.ronpaul2008.com

Ron Paul will return the U.S. Constitution back to the American people!

I think that we will see major changes in the way the people respond to local and national government. Ron Paul will win the Primary and then go on to crush the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton power hold. The CFR, Comm300, Bilderberg, Trilateral Commission, NAFTA, CAFTA and the North American Union will be exposed, in the main stream media, for the corruption they have been involved in. Stations like King5 will lead this movement and will say no to the Rupert Murdoch's of the world.

Hillary Clinton will be elected president, Rossi will be our new Governor, and the Mayor and the City Council will be put in their places on any new taxes. Seattle will be a better place if in 2008 no new taxes will be put in place. Tim Eyman will continue to do a wonderful job with initiatives that will help all citizens of Washington. Thank you Tim Eyman, and thank you everyone that will continue to vote no new taxes. We need to make Washington an affordable place to live again, and I think we can do that in 2008. Washington Rocks!!!

Republicans will as always wage a tainted political war... Britney Spears will still receive attention...for some reason, any viable RTA plan proposed will be rejected by those who doomed it the past few times (the truely ignorant).... and immigration issues nation-wide will come to a climax

Robert Mak will be fired, seeing as his reports are often biased (ST), not complete (I-5 crunch) and or concern non-relevant topics (everything else)...

I predict the mail-room will need his services

Ron Paul will be the next president, and Rossi will governor Washington.

The Bush- Clinton- Bush era of big, pro war, world intervention, government will be over.

I vote for Rossi in 2004 and I'll be voting for him again in 2008.

I'm very concerned about our overseas military spending. We are spending hundreds of Billions of dollar every year in the middle east on wars and aids, yet we have no money to fix/replace the Alaska viaduct. Something is not right folks.

I'm voting for Ron Paul this year and I hope you will to. The US dollar has fell 50% over the last 6 years, every time I go to a restaurant I see they raising their price. We need to go back to sound money.

Hillary Clinton will be president, Rossi will be in for Governor. We will have a new viaduct, no more taxes in 2008.I guess you could say this is my wish list for 2008. I am sure we will be taxed to death in 2008 by Gregoire and Nickels. We need Rossi, we need Tim Eyman desperately.

I predict that the passage of the simple majority school tax initiative will cause more and more seniors and other low-income families to be in danger of losing their homes because of the inevitable rise in property taxes. Many are just out of reach of the exemption level of $35K. Tim Eyman, where are you...for us?

Linda, Belfair, WA

Dino Rossi, Ron Paul, and minor economic recession.

The Grassroots fires reach a critical mass in 08' and sweep Ron Paul into the White House to the dismay of the mainstream corporate media and, of course, their handlers. The message of personal liberties and freedom trumps anything the other compromised, lying pack of snakes has to offer.

Successful first flight of the Boeing 787, King County government will get even bigger than it already is, Washington State will expand the number of workers on government payroll by another 30% (as they did in 20007), and Ron Paul will win the presidency despite being snubbed by the lamestream media & well-organized efforts to smear him.

I know ron Paul will do better than FOX news wants him to. He is gaining support in ways that the polls they use do not show. Look at other levels of support, look at his straw poll wins, his fund raising, his signs and bumper stickers, and the general swelling of support for his ideas of liberty and limited government.

I want to see a real poll done, without the bias from the FOX news type idealistic journalism. Who can we trust to do a good poll.

Also, I would love to see a Rossi/Gregoire/Bennett race (remember the libertarian in that one?)

Dr. Paul will be the next president and we will have a constitutional government once again and Rossi will be governor. The war will end and troops brought home from around the world.

1. The value of the dollar will continue to "tank" and everyone will be inviting the conversion to the "Amero" in order to save our economy.

2. Item one will open the door more widely for the transistion to the North American Union; merging Canada, the U.S. & Mexico.

3. Hillary will be elected President, with Obama as V.P., and she won't let Bill near the Oval Office.

4. Iran will have proudly announced that they've finally made a nuclear bomb and Israel will be threatening to take out their facilities; putting us at the eve of Armadgedon.

5. Everyone will wake up one morning, after the election and before the end of the year, wondering how it all happened when we were certain it never would.

The pannel is not representative of normal working people. We are very concerned about the weakened state of the economy and the inability of either party to work together. Property Taxes are like the straw breaking the camel's back and the aristocrat politicians just keep piling it on. A lot of people will loose their cars, jobs and homes and It will never have been
George Bush's fault, or Osama Binladden's for that matter. Shame on You all for not portraying the truth.

2008 will see a rise in independant voters. The American People have been betrayed by both the Republican and Democratic party. Its time not to vote for the worst of two evils, it's time to vote independantly, and smartly. I predict that in 2008 an Independant candidate will come forward that will put the WILL of the American People in the Forfront of politics and Corporate and Special Interest and they're lobbyist will take a back seat. I predict that the next President of the United States will be an Independant Candidate. The Framers of our Consitution wrote the very first paragragh as a cyrpitic message to the American People, they knew that one day, the American people would once again be faced with a Government that doesn't represent the Will of the American people. I am proud to say that I am an Independant voter, and I will not sell out my vote to either the Republican or Democrats in 2008.

Dino Rossi will certainly be our next governor.

I'm deeply concerned, as a lifelong republican, as to where my party has drifted in the last 20 years. We used to be a party of limited government and lower taxes. Now we're the party of BIG government and lower taxes, which just doesn't work. Now our economy is suffering, and we haven't even seen the worst of it. Our next president is going to have a HUGE part in how weak or strong our economy is in the following 20 years. Our national security is completely threatened because we've decided to police the entire world, and we simply can't afford it, financially or morally. I'm voting for Ron Paul because he is going to end corruption in government and bring back the constitution. My kids depend on it.

Ron Paul will be elected or we'll end up with another "lesser of two evils" candidate who continues the status quo of abusing executive orders, bombing and waging war without a declaration of war from Congress (unlike many "anti-war" Democrats, Ron Paul voted AGAINST Iraq), using IRS and FEC bully tactics against opponents immediately following the inauguration, mass media manipulation a la Fox News, taking tiny slices of our national sovereignty and giving it to the UN until there's nothing left, and finding other novel ways to grind on the face of true American patriots and defenders of the Constitution as the balance of power continues to tip from tax payers to tax consumers. You don't have to be a political scientist to see how seduced our corrupt politicians are by the fact we have 10-20 million individuals who have already broken the law by entering our country and wouldn't think twice about voting themselves more benefits in exchange for political allegiance until nothing is left in the treasury and honest citizens are shackled with the chains of debt.

I have been apathetic towards politics until this year when I heard Ron Paul speak. Here was a man that was educating people about national and international situations in such an easy to understand way- it was refreshing! And his solutions were also simple and refreshing as well. He is not afraid to say how he really feels about topics-which most politicians will"spin" but he doesn't need to. When I heard he had never voted for a congressional payraise and also that he raised $6 million dollars in one day and then refused to take the federal government's matching funds-I knew this was the leader I had been waiting for to heal the mistakes in our country. It is with renewed hope that I now look forward to supporting my community and country in making the world a better place to live.

The Magic Surrounding Ron Paul is About to Be Revealed.

The run up to the presidential primaries of 2008 has been nothing less than a marvel of intrigue for the Republican candidacy of Congressman Ron Paul. This mystic of politics has created a mirage of ubiquity so realistic that it can literally be seen around the world, all while simultaneously remaining shrouded in a cloak of anonymity.

No other candidate has managed to appeal to a broader spectrum of the electorate. No other candidate in this race has attracted such a worldwide audience. No other candidate has been researched as much as this presidential contender. No other candidate has as many apathetic voters, first-time voters, and even party-switching voters pledging their unwavering support on Election Day.

This candidate, Ron Paul, has accomplished not one, but two, record breaking 24 hour fundraisers. In fact, he’s raised more money in this final quarter than any of his Republican opponents. It’s also interesting to note that this non-interventionist also receives the most contributions from military personnel.

Though unpretentious and unscripted, Ron Paul has dominated online polls, straw polls, and post-debate polls. No other candidate generates more calls, emails, or protests of support. Such allegiance is likely due to the fact that no other candidate has the same consistency in their voting record, their message, and their manner.

No other candidate in either party has amassed the grassroots support that Ron Paul has been able to inspire. No other candidate has as many signs, banners, or bumper stickers percolating across the nation. No other candidate has inspired as many videos, blogs, or songs.

No other candidate has as many people wearing apparel that bears their name. No other candidate has as many vehicles painted or decorated with their name. No other candidate has a blimp, a hot air balloon, and airplanes routinely filling the skies with their name.

No other candidate has as many meet-up groups. No other candidate has as many sign-waving’s and rallies. No other candidate has as many boots on the ground going door-to-door on their behalf. No other candidate has as many fans going out of their way to show their support by staking out strategic locations to hold up a sign or banner at a sporting event, a live news feed, or even a competitor’s engagement.

However, the greatest feat in this amazing performance may not be what has been witnessed by the masses, but what has been hidden from them. For this phenomenal candidate has attained this profound notoriety while being virtually censored by every major establishment, including his own party.

Ron Paul is certainly the most magical presidential candidate in the race. Yet, he owes his accomplishments to genuine transparency, not sleight of hand. If he fails to produce a top tier finish right before your very eyes, it will only demonstrate that the prodigious conjuring of the American media has trumped him with a spellbinding illusion that he was simply no match for.

WHOA! When did this turn into a RON PAUL, who can't get elected, website or blog?

Yes, the man has had a FEW visions of enlightenment as to how the country, in HIS OWN MIND, should go but, he's not making any sense, at least not to me or for me, and for the 100’s of MILLIONS across this country! He’s not a realist and his “purple glasses” are filtering the real truth! He says he’s in touch with the people, but I believe he’s on the other party’s Kool-Aid regiment or the good Doctor has been treating himself with some sort of other delusional drug program? I also have something else I’d like to say to him in person if I could…

I've had enough of people switching! So, “why has he changed to the Republican Party, if he can't get elected as a Libertarian?” Hmmm, sounds like he knows which party to screw-up to get his LIBERAL VIEWS complied with, huh? Amazing! I’m writing this just as CNN is allowing GLEN BECK to interview the “KOOL-Aid Kid!” Oh Lord…I’ve labeled this candidate correctly! A whole hour is being allowed by Beck, but it only takes a few minutes for him to dissect, cut-up, and throw him away, but he still lets Paul bury himself with his words! Enough about him…

Again, I agree with most of the people here about Dino Rossi and also...ARE YOU PEOPLE AWAKE? ...I forgot, but one person who wrote above, mentioned the tax increases on our properties by the school systems 50% majority vote that has just passed! I voted against it because I saw the mess we are headed for, but ARE YOU ALL BLIND? This could lead to other measures that could be voted in by the same kind of measure by the BIG FIVE WESTERN COUNTIES. Democrats could affect the WHOLE STATE with measures like theses. That's why it is important to get 2/3's majority. That's also another reason we have an Electorial System, but I won't go into that now! (Unless you like states of California, NY, and other large populace states to control your destiny!) These DEMOCRATS would have a HEY DAY with our check books! Most of the taxes on our properties are now from the schools! WAKE UP PEOPLE...the TAXES ARE COMING IF YOU LET THEM! And you did with this measure!

Also I would like to thank the WEA and Teachers Unions for these tax increases, and of course, all the LOCALS that blindly vote Democrat, but those are the very same people that increase the taxes on your members, UNIONS BROTHERS. The WEA is the instigator for Socialized EDUCATION! IT IS HERE! Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto is alive and well in Western Washington. Ask yourself about those school systems. Why do the teachers have to buy supplies for their kids? Because, there's too many Stupidvisors in our school systems. They are taking in $100K of dollars for salaries. They do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and that's not a flavor of a good vodka group, but somebody's drunk on my TAX DOLLARS! Also, I want my kids to be able to hug each other. Pretty soon, the only thing that will get hugged to death is our tax dollars.

Ron Paul...I wish you a healthy life...but NOT as MY PRESIDENT! YOU ARE NOT PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL, PERIOD!

Good day and may the best REAL CONSERVATIVE (non-ex Libertarian) Win! God Help us if ANY of the Democrats arrive at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. next Jan. 20th, 2009.

WHAT ARE MY OTHER PREDICTIONS:

1. AGAIN: A GOVENOR ROSSI WILL BE IN OFFICE, WHO WILL START AUDITS ON ALL AREAS OF WASHINGTON STATE GOVERNMENT. Start gathering the files you people in Olympia and Seattle…No burning now!

2. A REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT THAT’S GOING TO REIGN-IN A DEMOCRATIC SPENDING CONGRESS and help complete a DEMOCRATIC IRAQ! (And at the same time scare the crap out of IRAN like Reagan did!)

3. 2 of the FERRIES will be brought back in good shape use, by cannibalizing the two other large ferries for a “GOOD Keel” on both, so we can build newer and improved transportation ferries for our routes…AND SOON!

4. A TAX REVOLT LIKE YOU”VE NEVER SEEN…by REPUBLICANS, LIBERTARIANS, INDEPENDENTS, AND TAXED TO DEATH LIBERALS WHO WILL FINALLY WAKE UP AND TELL THE STATE & COUNTY GOVERNMENTS TO STUFF IT! They want thought-out programs that will work, not the crap that’s coming from the State House, Governors’ Mansion, or KING Co. I’d take a Bob Kerry, (Ex St. of Nebraska Gov. & Senator) that I know from experience in the ‘80’s, knows how to govern, before I would ever put Gov Gregoire back in office.

5. Ron Sims will change his mind again, for whatever program and whatever system, that will line his pockets with OUR gold. Have you notice on television, that when ever he’s around for whatever event, his hands are in his pockets. They’re really covering what are tentacles! We are an alien seaport aren’t we?

6. The King County Council will finally get more Republicans and Independents on the council to vote for the People, instead of Big Business. Hey County…how about taxing the new rider-ship program that MICROSOFT has… now there’s and “income stream” idea! We could get GOOGLES of income from them.

7. Someone will bring back-up the opportunity to use a mono-rail system, designed with the right method that was though of by the state legislature, after they took A LOT of the public’s opinion back in 1991’s summer Puyallup Fair. That system made sense! It showed we could make money on it and it was compatible with the current system then, and that the cost to build was reasonable, if we only acted on it within a couple of years. If it had been built by 1998, it would have contributed greatly to the economic systems in THREE COUNTIES! Tourism for all of areas would have increased and an ease in the traffic nightmare and the opportunity to get about across those areas would have been better. But, one thing I want to know is, why build a light rail system, to take passengers from SEATAC, to downtown SEATTLE through one of Seattle’s worse crime areas? Where is the money going to come from to protect the out-of-towners, who will not decided to take the train for fear of being MUGGED, ASSULTED, RAPED, or KILLED? There’s a PR Nightmare a coming! Oh, it was I that came up with the MONORAIL SYSTEM again, but the apathetic nature of the “CLOUD COVERED PEOPLE” of Western Washington, will not let the SUN SHINE IN! EVER!

8. THERE WILL NEVER BE COMMON SENSE IN WESTERN WASHINGTON AGAIN…because, the rains have washed away any that is available that arrives from out of state, and there’s never enough sun to make any of it grow back if they start to loose it…so we now have huge amounts of PROGRESSIVE LIBERALISM here! Too bad, we don’t have run-off ponds for common sense…but you can’t get much of that off of a rung-out Democrat!

Welcome to 2008 where Seattle (Bellevue part 2)will continue to SUCK!!! what better way to ring in the New Year than to show you exactly what it will be like here.

Photo monitored intersections (not all the cameras are accurate, I was falsly accused of running a red light, when I was nowhere in that area of town!), HERO reporters, (can we say "Distracted drivers??") Yes curb the cell phone driving crap PLEASE before we kill one another! I just deposited my paycheck, what did the teller say? "I'm sorry, I have to reboot my computer, I will be with you in just a min. WHAT??!!! Let's see 2008 THE YEAR OF THE REBOOT! Way to go Unkie Bill! Let's see Unkie Bill, ahh Family Affair, recall that stupid show?? And this Jackass that killed while intoxicated with his car gets 14 years??!! Seattle wake the HELL UP! Over caffinated, Over Paranoimia! WAYY to stuck-up and pussified, what happend to the Seatttle that was fun-funky, a joy to bring your friends to from out of town, now an embarrasing city, I was born here in '62 looks like the Onceler from the Lorax hit here! Let's all make thneeds, for a thneed is what everyone needs! Cut down all the surrounding trees in the area and build what?? CONDOS!! Now you can't even sell all the ones you built! AND you cut down more trees to do it with, sounds like the onceler.... remeber truffula trees? once they were gone the area DIED!! I'm no tree hugger, but goddammit! Cool your jets with all the F-ing Building! Look at 40th and Stoneway, A GAPPING HOLE for the last few years! And now GREENLAKE Another HOLE!! and let's not forget.. kill all the GROCERY STORES so that everyone will have to drive for miles up north or wayy down south just to get a F-ing bag of groceries... have we done much to help the homeless?? I try to every year, and in-between too dammit! I gave my sligtly used blanket to a bum, he was happy! He didn't want it at first, I said take it please he did, my Mom works with the street kids in the U-Dist. some are sucessful others are just plain lost, cant save the world, but WE try to!! STOP with all the new building, make affordable houses, not push the poor and the middle working class out! if thats what you want (Bellevue part 2) then you rich F-er's will be driving those garbage trucks and working at the dumps, and the rich will be serving the rich in fast food restraunts! Why? Why the middle and poor class have been pushed out, thank you very much! Will the last one to leave Seattle PLEASE turn out the lights, the party IS over.

Forget about Ron Paul.

I'm voting for KUCINICH!

I too, think that Rossi will be re-elected and finally get to move into the Governors Mansion.
Also, KC Jefferies will wake up one morning and realize that they are missing their calling and dive into politics with a vengeance and work hard to right the wrongs that are so near and dear to their heart. Way to go, K.C.!!

K.C. Jefferies for president.
He has took the words right out my mouth. We have got to keep sending the message to our elected officials: "STOP RAISING TAXES".

My vote goes to Alan Keyes. I hope to see his name included in the list of candidates on this website. After all, this isn't Iowa and Alan Keyes has been certified to be on the list of candidates in the state of Washington.

I predict every citizen will get a tax rebate and everybody that will not foresee any improvement whatsoever in their lives will return the check in the post paid pre-addressed enclosed envelope that every citizen gets with the check. I wonder how much would be saved if all the richest saved time by returning the check instead of cashing it.
