Planning a trip? New Seattle dot-com hopes to help

9:50 AM Wed, Nov 28, 2007 |

If you're traveling alone, planning a trip is pretty easy. But when you're traveling with other family members or in a group, that's when things get a bit complicated. Now, a Seattle start-up is promising to make planning less painful...

The folks at Triphub.com describe it this way: There's always one person who gets stuck having to organize that family reunion or golf outing. You know what happens next--that e-mail nightmare. Dozens of e-mails flying back and forth with the subject line, "Re: Trip." So triphub.com offers a place where the organizer can set-up one Web page telling everyone the dates, the flights, the hotels, etc. Then, everyone in the group can blog and communicate, share pictures, flight information, etc.

Triphub.com envisions making most of its money licensing the technology to airlines and sites like Orbitz, as well as banner ads on its own site. Click the picture above to see more; it's part of our ongoing coverage of the new generation of Web 2.0 start-ups in Seattle. Would you use this one?
