The Associated Press gives Seattle the title of "best educated."
We've been named "most liveable" and "most overpriced"--now, a new distinction: most educated? The Associated press analyzed data from 21 of the largest cities and Seattle ranked at the top for the number of adults with a college degree (51% with at least a bachelor's degree).
Yes, we may have more diplomas. But does that mean we make better decisions? From education to health care to transportation, are we smarter than other cities?

Personally, I don't equate a degree with leadership, with common sense, with the ability to make rational decisions, with empathy toward others, and most important, integrity. These are all traits that leaders should have to make a city great. Do our leaders exhibit these? I don't think so.

As a real estate professional, I have to say this is encouraging news given all the high end downtown condos coming on the market ;-)
