Hey Jim, The rams necessary aren't the best team and with the turnovers given up by the seahawks today, certainly another team(such as the packers or vikings) would have taken advantage of them. I was wondering if you could explain your thoughts on this.

Being a 12 man for the team. I was wondering who is our coach and when is practice? I feel that we do a good job but with more input from the team and staff we could really really make a loud statement. We could practice when the team is on the road, We would fill the stadium and show the NFL what the 12 man can do.

Coach, Being a hawks fan yourself I'm sure you feel the weight of the franchise as well as the 12th man on your shoulders, so how do you unwind after a game?

hey jim, The chicago bears are known for running. How do you expect to stop the run next week, when your defense was manhandled by the 49rs today?

Jereme said:

Coach Mora,

will you be running plays to convert on 4th downs? It seems as if the team is 4 and 2, the conversion aren't being made. We here about 3rd down conversions, but not 4th down conversions.
It seems that the offense is capable of getting the first downs in different scenarios, rather than kicking a field goal or punting the ball away.

Was there any "one thing" that you could have done different to avoid the loss? Or was it a combination of all the injuries that are the team right now? An will you keep the Bright Green jersy's an wear again?

First off, love the green jersey. I saw that Jones got 98 yards on 19 carries against a pretty good defense. Do you like the progress the run game is showing? With the good runs that you were getting in the game why was Seneca throwing the ball 44 times?

Derek said:

In the second half the Bears seemed to be coming with more pressure rushing Wallace to make plays, why didn't you start throwing in jones and Schmidt in the backfield to try to buy him more time to make those key plays

Why not start Mike Teel, Seneca looks to stressed out to play, Teel looked a lot better in the pre season then Seneca did

ray anderson said:

Coach,
Looking back to the lack of wins with Wallace at QB last year and once again this year his inability to get the team in the end zone(when it counts) and win games is costing the team. I know the O line and D have struggled but when teams blitz Seneca, he is unable to pickup the open receiver or audible to the right play to make a big play. With Hasselbeck suffering injuries the last two years and Wallace unable to lead the team to the next level, Why not play Teel, maybe he is the next Flacco or Ryan, at the least it will be developing a possible future replacement for Hasselbeck.

Arthur Wellesley said:

Other than the injuries, can you pinpoint something in this team, whether coaching, play execution, game preparation, mental acuity, personnel decision or any other facet of the game, that has caused the 1-3 start to the season? And what do you plan on doing to rectify the situation and make this team a contender this year?

Travis Simpson said:

1) Why cant we ever defend the pass?
2) You have something that other teams dont have, the 12th man. Now play like it!!!
3) Employ players that dont claim injuries just cause we are losing.
4) Holmgrem era over, be a man, take chances.

Eric Kolb said:

Coach,

Today's outcome has been a common theme for sometime now in regards to are lack of ability on defense to cover receivers and put consistant pressure on the quarterback. If this problem is not addressed by yourself or the rest of the coaching staff we will never get to the next level.

Lastly, It appears the team as a whole needs to get more motivated and rise to the challenge to achieve success.

Georgette said:

Senecca seemed defeated from the first quarter on. How concerned are you over his mental state?

Georgette said:

Adding to my previous comment, when it became apparent to everyone watching the game on national TV that Senecca had already thrown in the towel, did you ever consider putting in Teel in the 4th quarter?

Hi Jim,
As a fan i an concerned about the injuries to the team, and the types of injuries that have happend.
Any thoughts to a new strength and conditioning coach?? Seeing us lose leroy and lofa in the first game was scary and i would think they should have been ready to play.

Eric said:

Hi, Jim and all hawks that we love.

in our wins, we had a defense that was hitting opposing receivers as soon as they were able to touch the ball, yet in our loses, our defenders were giving at least a 6 yard cushion, which is unacceptable. we keep giving yards after catch cushions we will lose many more games, we need to hit them as soon as they attempt to catch the pass.

Question Why do our defenders give that 5 yard cushion, is it the defensive scheme, possibly something lofa see's and makes adjustments?

we need to tighten down on pass coverage.

Thanks, Eric

Coach I know I stated this before, but you have to send 5 and 6 up the box every dang down. Curry is a monster rushing the QB and bringing up a safety as well will help. Blitz every down! and give are backs a chance to defend. No DB can cover decent recievers for that amount of time. Kurt Warner should have been on the ground every play, just like Matt. I will stand by you all the way, but the DC needs to change or leave. They are making all their passes anyway so what good is it to have everyone back in coverage. Please BLITZ every play and lets put fear into some QB. On the offensive side get get rid of the retirement home RB bring up the hard runner you have on the practice squad and run the young guys, it could not be any worse. At least they run with passion and toughness.

Jim,

When can we expect EXCELLENCE and COMPETENCE in our football Team?

Knowing Walter Jones Injury situation, why didnt you address the very important LT position during the Training Camp?

Noone in the history of NFL was able to build the strong and reliable O-line overnight during the bye week, why are we giving false hopes to Seahawk Fans that things will look better after bye-week?

Are you really going to give them some magic pill which will make O-line healthy and start performing like you were expecting during the Training Camp?

You being the secondary defence coach for past 2 yrs in Seattle, should have known the weakness in our safety,CB positions and should have done something about it during your preparations for 2009 season.

I like your passion for this City and a will to rebuild a SB caliber team, and we will support you but please for God sake tell our players to play 60 minutes of physical football with passion and intensity.

Where are those locker room leaders??? I dont see anyone pumping up the players from the sideline, be Honest to yourself and look at the performance of each player, then you will find all the answers on why we are so inconsistent.

Why are we accepting mistakes from players which are costing us games? Why cant we bench the BAD performer of the team for a week.

ISnt their any competition between starters and backup players on this roaster???

With all the injuries happening do you think that the strength and conditioning program is to blame?

We have had injury problems for the past 2 - 3 seasons. Where does the training program start taking reponsibility for the injuries?

Im not talking about high ankle sprains, concussions, or injuries of that nature.

Im talking about torn pectoral muscles, back disc injuries, and groin problems. Problems of this nature reflect on the Seahawks training staff.

Look at Jacksonville. They were injury stricken for a long time. Then they fired thier strength and conditioning coach ... and now they are all good.

Just want to know your thoughts.

Mark H in Renton said:

Coach,
I notice the Seahawks seem to run almost zero short pass plays up the middle. We have a great TE and RB/FB that can catch 6-10 yard passes over the middle and easily convert first downs up the middle. Watching the last couple games I don't see us using this type of play at all. I notice San Diego can seemingly run play after play getting short yardage passes up the middle, moving the chains. Obviously, if we could convert a couple more passes, it would also help open up the running game.
