- Still Colts ball. Hawks finally get tough on D. Brandon Mebane finally puts Manning on his back, but he still almost completes a pass to Wayne. Rookie Aaron Curry makes a nice open field tackle on Addai. Colts punt. It's a touchback.
- Hawks ball. Dwight Freeney wasn't even suppose to play today. He sacks Seneca on the first play of the drive. Of course, the next play Seattle runs a draw play. Seattle stalls and is forced to punt.
- Colts ball. The put together a mini-drive and kick a 37-yard field goal. Colts leading, 31-3. One telling stat at this point, Colts have 428 total yards, the Hawks have 164.
- Hawks ball. After 2 predictable screen plays, Seneca is hit on the blind side and fumbles. Colts recover. Frye is doing well for being injured, but he needs either RB or TE help to block.
- Colts ball at the Hawks 5. Three plays later, Vinatieri kicks a 19-yard field goal. Colts lead it, 34-3.
- Hawks ball. Again, Seattle is passing. Of course, Indy playing bend but don't break as this game is all ready win for the Colts. Seattle marches down and scores on Seneca 7-yard run. Colts lead it, 34-10.
- Hawks onsides kick. Jordan Babineaux recovers. Hawks march down again and score on 1-yard pass to Owen Schmitt. It's his first career TD. I'm sure he'd rather have a win. Colts lead it, 34-17.
- Colts ball. Peyton takes a knee. Indianapolis wins this one, 34-17. Be sure to watch The Jim Mora Show tonight after Sunday Night Football on NBC.
OMG, Seatle is terrible! I suspected as much in the Mora era. He acts like one of the boys, not their head coach. How many times have they stalled with a penalty after a good gain on the previous play(s). I wonder about the discipline
The issue is not only at QB, but offensive line and specific defenders. If you watch the game closely, you will realize that there is a huge mismatch at the line of scrimmage and defensive players that were fooled by Peyton's play calling and/or missed their assignments. Seneca is not an experienced QB, so we need to rely on giving him more time in the pocket. Additionally, our defensive coordinator needs to make some adjustments. We can dissect this any which way possible, but in the end Indy is a better football team.
