The Seahawks get the ball first. Seattle seems to be committed to the run early. They gain six yards on four carries. Not too good. The best play comes from Deion Branch. He catches a ball and gains 14 yards. Hawks stall and punt.
- Colts ball. Indy marches down the field with 3 plays of 10 yards or more. When they get close to the goal line, the Colts bring in rookie RB Donald Brown to run the ball. He scores from the 1. Colts lead it, 7-0.
- Hawks ball. They look like they're about to start driving, but then on 3 consecutive plays, Seattle takes a loss. Jon Ryan punts and it's a touchback.
- Colts ball. The Hawks defense stops them on a 3&Out. Lofa Tatupu knocks a pass down. Aaron Curry & Lawrence Jackson both make big plays to force the punt. End of 1st quarter, Colts lead it, 7-0.
