Locker and Hasselbeck, Must See TV!

12:01 PM Mon, Oct 12, 2009 |

It was a weekend many sports fans in the NorthWest will not forget, thanks in large part to the two quarterbacks leading their teams. On Saturday night, Jake Locker of the Huskies, dazzled us all, with a 56-yard run, where he went from sure sack to a touchdown to remember. In the 4th quarter, a win for the Huskies seemed out-of-reach, but Locker remained calm and cool. Like the leader he is, he never gave up on his team and on a crucial 3rd down and 10 with under 3 minutes to play, Locker scrambled and found his tight-end Kavarion Middleton for a touchdown. A few plays later, thanks to a Mason Foster interception, the Huskies would shock the Arizona Wildcats with a comeback win for the ages. Less than 24 hours later, it was Matt Hasselbeck's turn to shine and did he ever. Seahawk fans should be in awe of Hasselbeck's heroic efforts. Just three weeks ago he suffered two broken ribs, on Monday he couldn't even throw a football, yet on Sunday against Jacksonville he passed for 241 yards and four touchdowns in Seattle's 41-0 victory over Jacksonville. "That was tremendous courage," coach Jim Mora said. I think we all need to take a step back and realize, we're watching a couple great quarterbacks right now and it's time to applaud them both for their leadership and courage that they'e showing us on the field.

Chris, totally agree. I was at the Seahawks game and told my son, to soak it up, because who knows how much more we'll be getting of Matt Hasselbeck this season. I hope to God he stays healthy, because it's fun to watch him play when he's at his best and with TJ, Nate and the rest of the guys, this team could make some noise. Although,Im still concerned with the rushing game.
