Holding out will hurt Curry

7:15 PM Thu, Aug 06, 2009 |

One to three days of missed practice can be made up eventually, but once you get past a week, a holdout player is behind the curve.

Aaron Curry was drafted to be a starter at outside linebacker but the longer he is absent, the longer the chances become of being an opening day starter.

Seahawks fans cheered when Kansas City blew the 3rd overall pick by passing over Curry, but as Curry and the Seahawks front office will find out soon, cheers will turn to anger or frustration (if it hasn't already) the longer this drags out.

Sound off... is Curry's holdout beginning to bother you as a fan?

Yeah, I noticed his absence at the public practice on Tuesday. What is taking so long?! We want to see him out there doing his stuff.

And I agree, our defense is looking pretty solid without him. I mean, of course I want to see him start, but he needs to get on the field.

These rookies think the world of themselves and expect to be paid for what they may have dont in Collage, I have seen many players paid millions and washout, IE ( Brian Bozworth )

I supported drafting Curry from the beginning, he showed signs that he wanted to playball and not hold out for a few dollars different, but we find out that is not true. I can not except a rookie not being in training camp, he needs all the work he can get, for himself and the team. The amount of the contract will be huge, so if you get only 20 million garanteed, please give me a break. Most people struggle everyday, count your blessings for your health and the opportunity to play pro ball and get to camp. Be a team player.
