Really sorry that Kenny Perry did a number on himself down the stretch at the Masters. It was his to win, just like Phil at the Open (but Phil just played a dumb shot!). Not quite Jean Van de Velde meltdown material from the British Open a long way back in time, but you hate to see one of the "nice guys" like Perry come up short when he doesn't have too many opportunities left at 48. Cabrera scrambled and stayed in it. Campbell just doesn't show any passion out there. But, just watching Phil and Tiger shoot it out was SOME fun. I hear the ratings were good. I don't play golf but love to watch the majors unfold. Who do you like at the U.S. Open? It's at Bethpage and that's a course Tiger likes a lot. In fact, in 2002 when he won it there, he was the only golfer that finished under par. It's a public course which makes it such a unique venue. Incidentally, Van De Velde had his colossal collapse at Carnoustie in 1999, and guess where the claret jug will be presented this year? Yep....Carnoustie again.
