The Mariners have been forced to put Ichiro Suzuki on the 15-day disabled list because of a bleeding ulcer. Doctors diagnosed him in Arizona after he sat out three straight games in spring training with symptoms of extreme fatigue. The team says the ulcer is no longer bleeding, but doctors have restricted his activity. The move to the DL was retroactive to March 31.but he won't be eligible to play until April 15. The home opener is the day before. Here's a question: Was this problem evident during the WBC? Were the Mariners in the loop? Hmmmmm. Read more on the team web site.
