About half of the Seahawks front office is down in Los Angeles today, according to the LA Times. They're there to watch and talk to USC quarterback Mark Sanchez during his Pro Day. Apparently, the Hawks also talked to Sanchez last night over dinner. NFL.com writes about his Pro Day: "He's not [Georgia's Matt} Stafford, he's not [Kansas State's Josh] Freeman; but his arm is every bit as good as Matt Ryan's. And as Matt Ryan showed this year, when you're accurate and you show good anticipation, a good arm is good enough. That's what Matt is, and that's what Mark Sanchez is. What he showed is consistency." -- Mike Mayock - NFL Network Sounds like Sanchez is the real deal. It's kind of hard to believe that Seattle would consider him with the 4th pick. But maybe this is a "just in case" scenario if the Hawks trade down. |
