Gonzaga forward Austin Daye is putting his name into the NBA draft. Daye will not hire an agent, in case he decides to pull his name out. He has until June 15th to do so. "Basically I want to test the waters to see what my future might entail. I definitely had to sit down and talk to my family about my decision. If a great opportunity presents itself I might have to lead that path. A lot depends on these workouts." -- Austin Daye from KREM.com I guess this is a two-fold process. Daye will find out approximately where he'll be drafted, if he comes out. If he goes back to Gonzaga, the NBA scouts and higher ups will give him advice on how to improve for his stock for the future. Just on potential alone, Daye should be listed as a lottery pick. If that happens, the Zags will probably be looking for his replacement. |
