You know it's a Seahawks bye-week when a story like this gets so much attention in the Northwest. But the Idaho cheerleaders are causing more of a fuss than the Vandals giving up 70 points in their season opener to Arizona, or losing to Western Michigan and Utah State by a total of 48 points. Now, the cheerleader who designed the squad's scandalous new uniforms has resigned in the wake of all the national attention. Uniforms, the cheerleader said, which were meant to "Promote physical fitness."
Shelly Robson, an adviser to the spirit squad, said some cheerleaders found the uniforms unflattering and uncomfortable. The Dean of Student affairs even said some fans complained. But he added, "To be fair, there were a number of fans who liked them."
