Hawks receiver Branch to play Sunday?

1:05 PM Wed, Sep 03, 2008 |

It sounds like Deion Branch may try to play Sunday against the Bills. Branch tore his ACL January against the Packers in a playoff game. He had the surgery to repair it seven months ago. If he returns to the field, it's nothing short of amazing. ACL's usually take 6-12 months...and probably closer to the latter for a contact sport like football. Head coach Mike Holmgren says Branch should practice workout with the team today. Holmgren will make a decision later this week, if Branch is ready to go. In the meantime, Holmgren calls Nate Burleson and Courtney Taylor as his starters at WR for Sunday. Logan Payne and Jordan Kent will fill the 3rd wideout role. Should Branch, who's 7 months post-surgery, play on Sunday?
