Mike Holmgren said this morning that Seahawks rookie DT Red Bryant will undergo surgery on his left knee and will miss four to five weeks. That means Bryant will miss the rest of training camp. Bryant had surgery on his right knee at Texas A&M.

Tough luck for the rookie, and a big loss for the development of the defensive front line. Larry Tripplett and Chris Copper will both see more reps. Bryant could be ready by the first regular season game. But as the 12th Man knows, missed practice time for rooks can't be undervalued.
