Here's the Seahawks official press release on signing Jeff Robinson:

Seahawks Sign Veteran Long Snapper
Renton, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks have released long snapper Tim Lindsey and replaced him with 15-year veteran Jeff Robinson, the team announced this afternoon.
This is Robinson's second stint with Seattle. He was signed last season on December 11 and snapped in three games. He also played for the St. Louis Rams in 2005 and has played in 184 career games with 18 starts at tight end.
Originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round (98th overall) of the 1993 NFL Draft as a defensive end, he tallied 46 tackles (24 solo) and 6.5 sacks before moving to tight end in 1999 with St. Louis. As a tight end, he caught 28 passes for 278 yards with eight touchdowns for St. Louis (1997-2001) and Dallas (2002-2004), while also serving as long snapper.
Lindsey was signed on August 13 as a free agent.
