Absolutely.. Its about time management holds the players accountable for their miserable play.. Richie was a bust from the get go. Why do the M's always pay top dollars to players that haven't proven themselves? Thats why our payroll is $117 Million with crappy B-rated players..

The M's really need to find a high profile coach that can create unity within the clubhouse.. I think the M's have the talent but no one is stepping up. The M's don't have a real captain to get everyone motivated. Ichiro should be filling the role but him not speaking english (its been 8 years and he still uses a translater) I think has a little to do with it.. The team looks and is flat. We need fire within the clubhouse..

I think Vidro is the next one to be tossed over board. We need power from the DH spot. After that, Bedard and Washburn will be traded. Then they'll be done with players walking the plank.

The Mariners have a habit of trading away good young talent to get washed up "stars", only to have the players that were traded become stars somewhere else. As long as they do this, they will never be successful. Just look at Minnesota, Oakland and now Tampa Bay. Develop young talent from within, and forget about overpriced over-the-hill free agents. Dump the dead weight now and work for the future!

It's about time. Batiste should be next along with Vidro. The manager is still sitting on his hands waiting for SOMEONE to step up and take on the leadership......WHAT ARE THEY PAYING HIM TO DO?
I say give the young guys a home and let them have some ownership in their position so they know they are responsible game after game. If they don't perform....they can go visit Richie.
