PAC-10 Football Pre-Season Poll

5:02 PM Thu, Jul 24, 2008 |

The media PAC-10 football poll is out. Now I don't remember voting, but they've got the Huskies predicted to finish 8th, the Cougars in last place. The Cougars sent out a press release...it's after the jump. Do you think it's fair? Are the Huskies the 8th best team in the conference? Are the Cougars going to be the worst team in the PAC-10?

Wulff, Gibson Attend Pac-10 Media Day

LOS ANGELES - Washington State University football Head Coach Paul Wulff and All-American wide receiver Brandon Gibson attended the Pacific-10 Conference Media Day at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton, Thursday.

Wulff and Gibson spent the day previewing the 2008 Cougar and Pac-10 seasons with the nearly 500 media members in attendance.

"Overall it was a very fun experience," Gibson said. "I've been answering a lot of the same questions, but a lot of people picked my brain, and I hope they see that I am a team player."

The conference also released the 2008 preseason media poll in conjunction with media day, a poll that predicts a 10th-place finish for WSU. The complete poll is below with first place votes in parentheses.

1. USC (38)

2. Arizona State

3. Oregon

4. California (1)

5. UCLA

6. Oregon State

7. Arizona

8. Washington

9. Stanford

10. Washington State

"This was a very productive day, getting to talk about Washington State football on a national level," said Wulff. "It feels like this is another step in the process and we are getting much closer to getting the season started. It's exciting and I can't wait for Aug. 5 (the first day of practice) to get here."
