Here's another pompous move by David Stern and the NBA. The league wants former Sonics owner Howard Schultz to end his lawsuit to regain the club. The NBA filed a motion in federal court on Tuesday. The motion claims Shultz's lawsuit would cause the team formerly known as the Sonics a bunch instability. Hmmm, I'm sure that wasn't happening at all since Clay Bennett bought the club. Anyways, here's the story on the Seattle Times. The first hearing for the Schultz case is Friday. It'll be interesting to see if the NBA is allowed to butt in. Hopefully, for Sonics fans, Schultz stays the course.

I really think that Mr.Stern needs to be voted out of the NBA office have some one new take over. Some one like Jordan would make a great leader and lots of people like him.
I hope Mr.Schults continues to take them to court because the city of Seattle sure didn't try to help the fans, only them selfs.GO SCHULTZ !!!
Well DUH! If the fans and locals really wanted to keep the team here, they should have put up the money and taken more tax dollars from things like transportation, schools, health care and similar non quality of life things to create another temple of ego for over paid and under performing sports teams.
Where were the Balmers et al when the sale went through???
This whole thing is such a mess. Schultz is a smart businessman, you cant tell me he didnt see this move coming when he sold. Please........he started the whole mess. Where was Balmer et al when the original sale went through?
Also, why hasn't more been made about the remodel done on Key Arena that Stern felt was wonderful....why isnt Stern being made to be somewhat of a villian in all of this? Arent we tired of being held hostage by these professional sports teams that continue to pay outrageous salaries and charge outrageous prices, and continue to spiral out of control? When will it all be stopped?????
