The Sonics lose again, as U.S. District Court Judge Marsha Pechman yesterday denied the motion to remove "Attorney's Eyes Only" redactions from documents from ex-Sonics owner Matt Griffin. The request was part of the team's argument to try and show that the city and Griffin teamed up to financially damage the Sonics by forcing the team to stick to the KeyArena lease.
You can read the entire story at the PI. It's not the team's first set back this week. You'll remember earlier this week, the judge denied the Sonics request to include financial obligations to the city if the team won the suit.
Also in Sonic land, Steve Ballmer was subpoenaed this week by the Sonics. Ballmer was part of Griffin's local investment group that wanted to shell out $150 million for the $300 million KeyArena redo, and buy the team from Bennett.
