Since my coffee cup is still half-full, I'm going to throw out the idea that the Sonics still have the chance to draft a complete player in the fourth spot. A game changer. Michael Jordon was taken third. Dwayne Wayde was taken fifth. In 2005, Chris Paul was taken fourth. With the conjecture being that Presti will select 6'3" G Jerryd Bayless for the Sonics, I've picked out a YouTube clip of his play:
Read more about Bayless here. Problem is, Bayless was considered more of a scoring guard than a point guard. At 6'3" he's too small to roll to the two and have KD shift to the three. On the bright side, JB was an honor roll student.
Also of note in Sonics land, the PI is reporting that Schultz has added a breach of contract admendment to his lawsuit against Bennett and Co. Yesterday's filing seeks breach of contract as a third claim, saying Bennett and Co. failed to seek a workable new arena, instead seeking one that exceeded the team's needs, and asked for too much public money.
