KIRKLAND, WASH. - In partnership with Soccer United Marketing (SUM), MLS Seattle announced today the Mexican National Team will face the national team of China on April 16 at Qwest Field in Seattle. First kick is set for 8 p.m. (PT) and gates will open at 6 p.m. (PT). "We are excited to partner in this match between Mexico and China," said MLS Seattle Owner & General Manager Adrian Hanauer. "Since we are still 12 months away from our first home match, the opportunity to host these two teams will provide our fans a taste of the world's game in anticipation of what they will experience next spring at Qwest Field." The Mexican National Team, coached by legendary Hugo Sanchez, will be a mix of its top players based in Mexico in addition to top young players who figure to be part of the Olympic team this summer. The Chinese National Team is coached by former Serbian star Vladimir Petrovic and led by young Manchester United striker Dong Fangzhuo.
