The M's lost to the Rockies, 4-1 on Tuesday. Not a big deal. Afterall, it's spring training. Here's the important stuff. Pitcher Felix Hernandez threw 5 shuout innings and gave up on three hits (all singles). King Felix says he's ready for the regular season to start. Richie Sexson slugged his first homer of the season. Unfortunately, something went wrong tonight with our ability to post video or you'd be able to watch the home run. Hopefully, we'll have it fixed tomorrow. Ichiro's swing seems broken or something, too. He's oh-fer this spring. But 21 at-bats does not define one of the M's best hitters in Seattle history. Guaranteed, when the season starts Ichi will be back to hittin' .350. The P-I's Jim Moore talks about the M's other pitching acquisition, Carlos Silva, and his weight. Former M's manager Mike Hargrove was in Arizona. The P-I's David Andriesen has an article on Grover's special instructor assignment with the M's. Extra Innings: Former M's Jeff Weaver may be back in baseball soon. The 31-year-old could sign with the Nats or his old club, the Cards. His bro, Jered says Jeff is not retiring. Another former M's pitcher Joel Pineiro is having his shoulder looked at.
