I HAVE HEARD A LOT OF OUR GUY'S SAY THAT THIS TEAM IS BETTER THAN OUR '05 BOYS. I KNOW THAT WE REALLY DIDN'T START CLICKING UNTIL AFTER THE REDSKINS GAME, BUT WHY ARE WE SO INCONSISTANT ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL? JOSH SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY CONSTANT, AND I AM NOT KNOCKING MY GUY'S JUST WONDERING OUT LOUD!

Kevin, Kent, WA said:

The Tight end position seems to be inconsistent. What can you, Gil and Matt do to improve the TE utilization and production going forward?

JEN said:

Playing in San Francisco is always special for you. Any different today playing on Bill Walsh Field?

Even though the shovel pass and throw did not work with Senceca, I really liked the play call. How often do you anticipate having Seneca on the field in future games?

Coach Holmgren-
Once you realized that Alex Smith was out and Trent Dilfer was in, can you share with us fans what you said to John Marshall up in the defensive coaches booth.

With the rivalry that has evolved vs. the Niners, how big is a win @ their stadium in gaining momentum in pursuit of yet another NFC West crown?

During the 3rd period Nate Clements intercepted Matt Hasselbeck. Replays showed he did not have possesion of the ball. Was there any communication from the coach's upstairs to challenge the play?

Coach--

Our offense got into numerous favorable 3rd & short situations but had trouble sustaining those drives. What has contributed to this inability to convert in short yardage situations this season?

Coach--
The defense played with a real urgency and wreckless abandon in picking up the offense after yet another slow start and overall inconsistent effort. What was the difference in defensive execution this week from the first three games of the season?

Coach, San Francisco is a fine football team. Was our defense playing that good today or San Frans` mental mistakes that really made the difference?

Ray Simmons said:

Coach,
When are you going to get someone besides Nate to return punts? He seems to have made a number of mistakes every game this season.
Hint: Run FORWARD

Coach,
I wonder if you understand what Strong can do for you on 3rd and short. Everyone Knows its going to Alexander, Why dont we ever give it to Strong?

George-Woodinville, WA said:

Is something wrong with Shaun Alexander? He doesn't seem to have the excitement he had over the last few years? Is he in a mental funk? I think he is a much better player than he has shown this season and am wondering what is going on.

Thanks.

Coach,

It seems like the Seahawks red zone offense isn't dominating like the previous years. I think we have settled for too many field goals when there is opportunity to put teams away early this season. Is this due to experience on the offensive line or more conservative play calling?

How did big Rocky B. Come out of the game? He seems like a huge asset to our D-Line. I sometimes wonder what is going thru QB's minds when #99 comes breaking thru the line to sack him! Hope his injury wasnt serious.

I would like to know what is ur stradagey to get these guys to learn how to put games away when they have the chance to.

Coach,

Congrats on the 3-1 start - with such a dominant 1st half defensive performance how disappointed or concerned were you to only be up by 2 scores at the break? With the great field position we had it seemed like it should have been over by the half.

Pete from Racine Wisconsin said:

Coach Why did Nate let the first punt go instead of trying to down it for much better field position?

Did your game plan change when Alex Smith was knocked out of the game?

Coach Holmgren,

Why is it that an injured player is still able to take the field for so much of the game when he is not perfoming up to your excpectations? Do you not think that if the second string is able to perform better that they should not be encouraged to come in earlier to allow the injured player to heal and get back to performing as we know they are able? I.E. Alexander vs. Morris

I have heard repeatedly that you script the first dozen plays. I also notice many comments on "Slow Start". Can these be connected - isn't it possible the opponents defense knows the script?

Dear Coach,
How would you expect the Seahawks offense to handle Pittsburg's blitz package next week?

Mike Hopkins said:

Defense is really coming together and as we know defense wins games. I only wish the play calling or intensity with Shaun can get better on 2nd/3rd & short. The lack of converting dosen't help the Defense. What can Mike do better to help the offense convert?? I say Stong, Weaver or Morris all seem to play with more intensity than Shaun?

Mike Hopkins said:

Coach,

What can we do better to convert on 3rd and Short to help the offense as well as giving the Big d a rest??

Hi Coach..

Great game today. It was also nice to see the Steelers loose today!! I am nervous about next week because they won't give us the breaks the 49ers gave us?!! Deon Branch is "the man" he proved that today!!What are we going to do to clean up the mistakes we seem to be making week after week? One thing I see is Shawn MUST become more aggressive..hurt hand or not. Mo Morris sure did well the limited time he played.

Why don't you get the kickoff receiving team to fair catch the onside kicks like the one today?

What up MH? Team looks very good this year. Every Sunday my family gets together for Seahawks Sunday. Ages, 65 down to 5, and there are about 17 of us. We all wear jersey's, but nobody has Bobby's #. He seems to be key to that offense. In your words, how valuable do you think he is to the Seahawks family?

Hi Coach:
At SF today, our team was
doing so great-why still
play Shawn with a broken
arm with a 20 pt lead?
Just did not make sense
so early in the season!
Hope the year is a good one.
