It should only become a National Holiday if it means we get the following Monday off from work. What good does it do to make it a National Holiday if it lands on a Sunday?

Slow news day? Get a grip guys, this is sports you are talking about. Why do you really care about the whole thing if your team is not playing? Oh well, driving around will be good on Sunday afternoon until all the drunks hit the road after the game. How about a State Patrol "enforcment" day?

yes it should be a national holiday and while we are at it why not the world series too. if it goes 7 games then hell we would have a week off. then we could have the NBA championship series as a national holiday along with the NHL. we could almost have a month off just with all of those sports and to top it off, the owners of all those sports teams could pay the holiday pay for all of us on all of those days. yea guys its a great idea!!! i'm in!!!

We have a huge Superbowl party at our house each year (5th annual,125 people) and everyone always comes to the same conclusion....why isn't Superbowl on Saturday? It's one of the biggest party days of the year, so why have it on a Sunday? Polls claim that the monday after Superbowl is the least productive day in the business world. So we at the Jones Party want to know why it can't be changed to Saturday? It's a smart move, let's make it happen!!

Julie rocks and so does Egan, yes it should be holiday. It's the only time each year I do nothing but drink and eat. I need monday off to recoop. Nobody gets anything done the Monday after work. Even if the Seahawks aren't playing, it's still the biggest day of the year, christmas #2!

Yes i think it should be a hoilday, especially after everyone is re-covering from hang overs from the night before, either that or MOVE the time of the football game too like 12;00 in the after noon or something.... GO BEARS!!!! DA BEARS!!!! LETS GO BEARS!!!!

I think it would be a great idea to make it a holiday (which, holidays can be on Sundays....look at Easter). Unfortunately, it would be like Columbus Day or something where no employer will recognize it, pay for it, or allow you to have it off...so, I guess going into work Monday with a hang-over will just have to do. That or use your "sick days" wisely.

BUT, be glad you're on the West Coast...on the East Coast these things tend to get over VERY late at night....I sat up until 1130pm to watch the Titans lose.

Maybe if they moved the game to a Friday (so that it's a paid holiday).

Does anyone realize that America's team has won 5 Superbowls? They have played in 8 Superbowl! Don't you wish that the Seachickens had 1/10th of that success?

Julie Jones for President! Sincerely, why doesn't the NFL switch the game from Sunday to Saturday? I know it wouldn't be "Super Bowl Sunday" anymore but the teams have too much time on their hands as it is with 2 weeks to prepare for the game. It just makes good sense...it would save a lot of us, "we the people", 1 day of vacation pay that's for sure. :)

I liked the Colts 1-2 kick in the collective nuts or should I say vaginas of the Bears offense in the fourth quarter to seal the deal. The INT ran back for a touchdown and the INT that could have been ran back for a touchdown if the Colts defense wasn't so tired from celebrating the last INT touchdown. The Bears need to get a new QB if they ever want to fantasize about being Super Bowl contenders again. I think there vaunted D got a good old fashion behing-the-wood-shed beatdown just like I thought would happen. If Hester wouldn't have ran the opening kick off back for a touchdown it wouldn't even had been interesting. The Bears offense is just like a National Park outhouse, a stagnant cesspool.
