Mike Holmgren Show Sunday night

7:51 PM Sun, Nov 12, 2006 |

We're putting the finishing touches on the Mike Holmgren Show as we speak. Be sure to watch it. Coach Holmgren talks about the great finish, the Deion Branch reverse, Seneca & Mo's performance, Matt Hasselbeck's future, and more. I know it sounds like I'm kissing up to the man, but Coach Holmgren is gold on this show. He is every week. I've heard some horror stories with other coaches shows in different parts of the country. We're lucky to have him. Plus, you'll see Nate Burleson explaining his role on the team and the punt return. Ken "the Hammer" Hamlin sits down with Paul, too. It's shaping up to be a great show. Catch it on KING-5, after Football Night in America. After the show, come back to the Seahawks Blog and let me know what you thought of Coach Holmgren's show.

Regarding your Sunday night show, Almost Live, Back At'cha, my wife and I are old fans of Almost Live and to both of us, the absolute funniest bit we remember is the Pat Cashman takeoff on the artist, Bob Ross ( I think that was the name). If you could dig that one out it would be great.

Dear Coach,

How do you feel about Jerramy Steven being able to do well after being booed? Also do you think it is good that a player is motivated by negitive reaction of the fans

In the end of the game you called all running plays until the final drive. Is there something wrong with Mat that brought on that decision?

Coach,
It seems our record vs east coast teams when playing at 1pm EST is quite poor. Why don't you fly the guys out Friday and get them acclimated to playing at 10am our time.

What is happening to our infamous Hawks?!?! They are not showing the same intensity that they know they can have. It's like they don't care anymore. To lose to the Cardinals who are, or should I say were, 3-9 is a little ridiculous! I am a Seahawks fan, but enough is enough. I should gone to sleep.
I can't wait to hear tonight on how Holgrem is going to spin it. Holgrem, don't take all the blame! The players are just as guilty as the staff. You should have kept Wallace as a QB. At least we can use the excuse that he is a young player! Hassleback is still playing as if he were a rookie.

What are you going to do now? How are you going to turn around this team?

P.S.
I am not the only one that feels this way. I have heard this from a lot of my friends and peers.

When are they going to replace the referees? I see the referees as a disservice to the fans. They ruin the game, they miss important calls or make horrible calls at the worst time. Enough is enough, we need a better official's corp. If I have to watch one more game decided by poor officiating, I will quit watching football. I refuse to keep watching a disgusting display of inability, and I don't mean the players.

Two things I do not believe: the way Seattle folded like a flag at its own funeral, and that you, the coach, are in the dark as to what's wrong with this team. You want to share what you know with the rest of the class?
The remedy is to apply a few boots to a few overpaid butts. This game today was disgusting. Enough to make me root for the team I suported before Seattle even HAD a team.
Go 40er's! At least they're TRYING to win.

What a tease Senaca Wallace only play one or two plays, Why?

Michael Siruno said:

Dear Coach,
How do you expect the Seahawks offense to handle Pittsburg's blitz packages next week?

Mel said:

Dear Coach,
When the 49ers made their one and only field goal you appeared very angry on the sidelines, the seahawks were still well ahead so was there some kind of procedural error we werent aware of during that play?

Dane Norris said:

What was up at the end of the 2nd quarter when the hawks were in scoring position and had 3 time outs and didn't use one. That made the offence battle with time and ended up throwing an interception instead of gettin some points on the board. I think that was poor playing and the turning point of the game.

D Nelson said:

Give it up. Bench Alexander and fire Holmgren. Holmgen is an old man with old ideas. Ths is not the 80's. You are embarrassing us.

Ryan said:

Is the book out on you and your offense?

Jacob said:

Why can't we not stop 3rd and long. Why do you pull the defensive back? I have never seen this bad of play calling. What where you think at the end of the game? You need to watch tape of the 2005 season and learn how to coach again. Get the Seahawks to play as a team. The Seahaks have no heart this year and it is very sad. It is the mid 90's all over againing.

Sierra said:

If we had an offensive leader on this team to call people out who would it be. Cause it needs to happen now. Team needs heart to win games!

John Reed said:

Matt seems to throw a lot of jump balls deep down field that are almost always incomplete or nearly intercepted. Why is that?

jared hellings said:

Coach,

Why do you continue to disregard the QB sneak in 4th and short yardage?

Shannon said:

Coach Holmgren, do you think that having training camp in Kirkland was a greater distraction to the team then when training camp was in Cheney? Do you think the change allowed for a lack of focus that could account for the apparent lack of rythm the team has shown this season?

Joshua Heath said:

Are you going to rest players next week?
Is Seneca going to play more against Atlanta?

joshua Heath said:

Who would you say is the defensive MVP this year?

k smith said:

Coach, Did you do something to increase the pocket protection in the second half or were the falcons just less determined to rush the passer. Also, the players on the side lines during the second half looked bored? Already planning for vacation? Greater focus and engaement in the game guys. Come to my house for a lesson if need be.

Michael Dana said:

Coach,

The one concern I woul dhave coming away from this game is the amount of points scored on our first string defense. I know at home next Saturday with the 12th man it will be different, but what concerns if any do you have???

Go Hawks!!

Jeremy D said:
