| March 2006The Seahawks and KING 5 TV put out a statement today that our station will produce a weekly 30 minute coach's show with Seahawks Head Coach Mike Holmgren that will air following Sunday night football games on KING 5 TV starting this fall. Also, all Seahawks pre-season games will be shown on KING. ...
Shaun Alexander has said he wanted to stay with the Hawks, and now it's a done deal, according to his agent. Alexander has signed a $62 million, eight-year contract -- the richest ever for an NFL running back. The deal also includes $15.1 million in guaranteed cash, through signing and other bonuses and 2006 base salary. Whew, we can all breath a sigh of relief, but he didn't come cheap. Shaun was all smiles at today's press conference announcing his new contract (pictured with Seahawks president Tim Ruskell). "Last night when I knew everything was done and I got back in town, I texted Lofa [Tatupu] and I said, 'OK, your big brother is back.' And he texted me back and said, 'Well, let's go win the Super Bowl.' The years of Seahawks just being good and being comfortable with just being good are over. All we want to look for is getting to the Super Bowl every year. And we already know how to lose one, so now we're going to learn how to win three or four of them."
