The home of the Seattle Seahawks is getting a facelift, replacing the existing Field Turf with the same material -- get this, just in time for the Dalai Lama's rally in April. According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Paul Allen's First & Goal was concerned the playing surface has become faded and impacted, and possibly more injuries. It'll take six-weeks to yank out the exisiting field, pour down rubber and then install the new surface. Hey, if it keeps Shaun (or some other RB) from breaking a bone on the first game of next season, I'm all for it. 4 Comments |
That rubber stuff is soo annoying as for shaun alexander i can care less getting new turf wont improve his playing ability
I predict the Dalai Lama will rush for over 70 yards on the new stuff.
Just saw the new mural on the side of Qwest where the season schedule used to be. It says: 'Thank you 12th Man' and has some random pictures of Seahawks fans. There is not a single picture of a non-white fan on the sign, and this sign is like 20 feet tall! Not much racial diversity among Hawks fans I s'pose?
This was needed, as a season ticket holder I had noticed that the field had been fading over the last 2 seasons and at the playoff game it looked terrible...as for the comment by PJ, Shauns playing ability hasnt changed, the offensive line did....
