Is something fishy going on in the Patriots Spygate case? It seemed like NFL commish Roger Goodell punished the Pats and it was over. But now a Pennsylvania senator wants to talk to Goodell about Spygate. Who knows if he has his reasons or if he's just grandstanding, but a New York Times article brings new light to New England's spying problem. They tried to talk to former Pats video department employee about New England's history with tape. Matt Walsh worked for owner Robert Kraft from 1996 to 2003. But Walsh won't give out any info unless the newspaper would agree to pay any legal fees or woes caused by him talking about his past employer. It makes it sound like he's fearful that he has damaging info that would cause the Pats and the NFL a public relations nightmare. ESPN.com also has an article on Walsh. Oh, by the way, the NY Times article was co-written by award winning writer Greg Bishop. If that name sounds familiar to Seahawks fans, you have a good memory. Bishop worked for the Seattle Times before heading to New York. Here's another article from Yahoo.com. They bring up the possibilty that New England may have habitually spied before they were caught. A couple of players from Eagles questioned the Pats Super Bowl XXXIX victory over them. Wide receiver Hines Ward and the Steelers lost 2 AFC Championships to them. He's not so sure that New England was on the Up-and-Up. So after being busted for spying this season and some accusations of it happening in the past, do you feel the Patriots need an asterisk next to their record this season or any other season? 8 Comments |
oh, would you just shut up!!! i guess there is no such thing as a victory without an asterix anymore. it's all a load of crap.
Stop with the asterisk crap. People should quit trying to find everything wrong with something that is good. I hate the patriots with a passion but as a football fan, sunday I will be cheering for them because its a chance to see history. I hate that its new england getting the joy and not seattle. just jelousy i guess. I don't care what anyone says they are just like any other team but they play disciplined football w/ very little mistakes oh and they have that Brady guy too!
My geography is a little rusty, but what state are Philadelphia and Pittsburgh in? These are the two teams that have been highlighted in particular of having a gripe against the Patriots. And, just coincidently, it is a senator from--you guessed it--Pennsylvania wants to look into this scandal more. And Steelers fans say the Seahawks are sore losers...
spying!!! Good grief. So much goes into wining even one of these games, let alone 18 in a row, that it is absolutely silly to think that seeing a few signals could lead to such a season. Get a life you guys out there looking for excuses for losses to this brilliant team.
NYG WIN Superbowl and no one can deny they don't deserve it. Giants beat the Pats offense ragged,Brady spent most of the game on the turf.Fins legacy lives on !!!
IT'S OFFICIAL BELLYSH**T IS A F***ING
DOUCHEBAG!
POOR POOR PRETTY BOY BRADY. GO WEAR A DRESS. FOR GOD'S SAKE, YOU'RE MORE PRETTY THAN MY SISTER.
YES!!!! The Patriots lose and the world cheers!! The cheaters, their smug coach and pretty boy quarterback go down!!!! Perfect until the big game and then they choke!!!! I'm not a Giants fan, but last night I was---yep, just to watch the Pats go down!!!! It's poetic justice that New England went undefeated until the last game, then LOST!! Now instead of having a perfect season, they are now the biggest dissapointment in Super Bowl History!!!! Patriots LOSE!! Patriots LOSE!! Patriots LOSE!! Gotta love it!!
