The Seahawks would've beaten the Giants...

...at home. I wanted to blog that thought yesterday while watching the Packers run for nothing and lose against a fumbling Giants team that gave away the win as often yesterday as a Jay Feely missed field goal at Qwest Field. I said last week that I thought the weather at Lambeau took away the Seahawks defense most prized possession: speed.

Ted Miller at the PI basically says the same thing today in his Sports Rant. Miller adds: "Favre vs. the Seahawks in the snow was perhaps his best playoff performance in an illustrious career. Favre vs. the Giants in zero degrees, however, showed his 38 years...The larger point here is Seahawks fans don't need to panic over the nature of the blowout defeat at Green Bay and imagine the roster needs to be blown up."

I couldn't agree more, although I'd add the Giants had a better running game yesterday than the Seahawks did two weeks ago.

I don't know - I can't figure out the inconsistency of our defense.

The defeat at the hands of the Steelers 21-0 and then at Green Bay were 2 of the most painful memories of the 2007 season for me.

I didn't watch the Atlanta game, so I don't know if all our starters were in, but giving up so many points on the road, I just can't figure it out.

I still think the Green Bay game was a fluke with their RB getting 200 yards in the snow. Just like last year's game against Green Bay here with Alexander getting 200 yards in the snow.

Imagine that...the Giants were able to beat the Packers while playing that badly.
And you think the Hawks could have beaten the giants?
I think not...if they can't even beat the Falcons and or the saints earlier in the year.
No fluke as the Defense stayed home for the last 3 quarters in Green bay.
2 mistery's...Where elephants go to die and which Seattle team will show up to play!

First of all... "mystery."

Second, whatever. Last I heard the Hawk's season was over.

oh puhlease!

evryone knows damn well that we would have won that game, had it not snowed. Ourdefense couldn't get off the ball they were slipping everywhere. you try to tackle somebody in the snow, and tell me how hard it is to get your footing. The hawks defense is all about speed, and on the snow they had NONE! So yes, I do beleive that we would have dismantled the Giants if they would have come to Qwest field. There is no way that Eli could beat us. I seen how they played the year before when they got they're butts handed to them, at Qwest. Eli was on his back all day, not to mention that he couldn't hear. The Giants played a great game to beat Green bay, they got lucky that it didn't snow though, because they havea defense alot like ours; small and fast.
