The Washington Post is reporting that Jim Zorn met with GM Tim Ruskell after interviewing for the Redskins offensive coordinator gig. There is speculation that the Seahawks want to keep Zorn, and could even promise the offensive coordinator job after Holmgren retires. A report at ESPN says the Redskins may wait until after the Super Bowl to name a head coach, to interview assistants from the Giants or Patriots. While it would seem to make sense for the Redskins new head coach to have a say in who his o-coordinator would be, ESPN says Zorn is the top choice, no matter who is hired. At least the Seahawks had a chance to talk to Zorn before any decision was made. If the defensive minded Jim Mora took over after the end of next season, Zorn seems the logical choice to keep the current offense clicking. 1 Comments |
