While Seahawks coaches are enamoured of his possibilites on the field, wide receiver Ben Obomanu fits the role of inspirational speaker off the field, and gladly. The WR is back in Selma, Alabama, where he went to school, trying to motivate local students. Something, according to the Montgomery Advertiser, the three sport star has been doing since high school. "I tried to motivate kids back then," he told the Advertiser. "I'd rather see them in person instead of having them watch me on television." Obomanu was no slouch himself. Ben was cum laude at Auburn, posting a 3.6 grade point average...in finance. His mother, Brenda Obomanu, is a school counselor. 2 Comments |
Yeah, being in the NFL is no guarantee. You need something to fall back on.
No one can never take your education away from you.It is always good to have back up plans for the future.
