Lombardi rooting for the Seahawks

I saw this story on the air tonight and thought it was worth a mention on the blog. Did you know the grandson of legendary Packers coach Vince Lombardi lives in Seattle? Oh yeah -- he's also rooting for the Seahawks. You can watch the story here.

I am intrested to know what the coach will he take away drom this game is this enough to keep him going ???

Sorry from this game

Pete, the coach said a few weeks ago that he still has the fire to continue coaching. He's also made mention of wanting another shot at being a GM. Who knows what he'll do -- I don't think he knows. But having his quarterback and a playoff caliber team is certainly an incentive to return. Holmgren said last week he'll do what he does every season, take some time off when the season ends and talk it over with his wife.

The great thing about the Packers and the Seahawks is that they have loyal (not fair-weather) fans, who have a true love of the Game. If the Hawks win, the Packer fans will be upset but appreciative of a great season. If the Packers win, the Hawk fans will be upset but appreciative of a great season. These teams are not from LA or NY with crappy attitudes and lousy behaviors. Both teams should be proud, not only of their seasons, but of their fans and of the dedication that the fans show. May the game be great and the umps be fair and clean. And may Lombardi (both the coach and his grandson) continue to love the game with all of their hearts.
