Today Governor Gregoire placed a bet with Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, picking the Seahawks to win over the Redskins. Gregoire wagered a box of apples and O'Malley wagered Phillips crab cakes.

"With their fourth consecutive National Football Conference (NFC) West title, the Seahawks will dominate the team from the other Washington tomorrow," said Gregoire. "First Mike and I look forward to being part of the 12th man at Qwest Field with thousands of other Seahawks fans as our team marches to compete in another Super Bowl. And, I look forward to sharing Governor O'Malley's generous gift with the Lewis County United Way for distribution to flood victims in the Boistfort and Curtis communities."
