Shoring up the snapping
Despite some reports, Seahawks' long-snapper Boone Stutz has not been released by the team. However, coach Mike Holmgren did announce in this afternoon's press conference that the team will be trying out long-snappers (and punters) tomorrow. Keep in mind the team routinely tries players out at different positions during the course of the season.
The Inner Fan is hoping these special teams' gaffes don't come back to haunt this team in the playoffs. Feels like "laughing too hard at bumbling Romo" karma. Here's to hoping the 'Hawks kicking game hammers out the kinks. But you'd think if there was a better long-snapper out there, Ruskell and company would already have found him. Maybe the darn kicking balls are just frozen chunks of leather. Every cold game in the NFL this year has been giving kickers a hard time.

Why not try out Rackley again? He had some low snaps, but none as bad as Stutz. This needs to be taken care of, because Stutz is throwing off Brown and Plack. Timing is key with kicking and punting and this guy is not helping that process. Just a thought. Go Seahawks!!!!
