Seahawks win, get contributions from all teams
Just got back from the soggy game. I thought the Seahawks won this game in all aspects, offense, defense and special teams. Nice job and a great way to end the regular season at home. If the Seahawks can sustain this type of a running game, the playoffs certainly look a little brighter.
Kudos: First, to the offensive line's blocking...and to Shaun Alexander. While the TD was not Shaun's 100th rushing TD (it was a screen pass), No. 37 brought his A-game to Qwest Field today. By now some NFL players would be talking negatively to the press about all the booing (or making obscene gestures to the fans), but Alexander proved (against the 2nd best rush defense) not only is he a class act, the RB still has the ability to run -- and he looked hungry.
More kudos to the defense (what can you say, when these guys are on, they're ON) and lastly to Bobby Engram. Breaking the record for most Seahawks receptions in a season. Way to go Bobby. Also, with the Tampa Bay loss, Seattle clinches the third playoff slot.

alexander played like his career was on the line, and literally, it is.
today he didn't pause, he shot through the holes. of course, there have to be holes to begin with. but at least he didn't hesitate a bit.

I'm a Ravens fan but Seattle is probably my favorite city in the country. The Seahawks took care of business against a shell of a team. I wouldn't be comfortable with Hasslebeck's play which was at times quite good but at times very questionable. David Martin (CB), who couldn't catch a cold, could have easily had 3 interceptions. McAllister would have made those throws hurt. Holgrem mixed it up well and called the dogs off late. Billick's lack of confidence in the offense was embarrassing. How thrilled were you that he kept punting down by 21/24?
Anyway, I'm still not impressed by the running game of the Seahawks but I love the receiving core and the defense is far better than I remember (even if it was against my anemic purple birds). Good luck in the playoffs and pray you get the G-men. They will not win in Seattle.
