Seahawks at Falcons, game log
Wallace to Burleson again, for a 13-yard TD. Seahawks 41, Atlanta 44. :53 left.
Against mostly backups on defense, Atlanta scores a FG. Seahawks 34, Atlanta 44.
Wallace to Burleson, some nifty running and the 'Hawks get a 45-yard TD. Seahawks 34, Falcons 41.
One play, another Redman TD pass. Seahawks defense is really getting it handed to them. Seahawks 27, Falcons 41.
This time, Seneca throws an interception. Atlanta takes it back to the nine yard line.
Seneca Wallace fumbles the ball, Atlanta recovers and a quick drive and pass to Crumpler...and the Falcons take the lead (against nearly all the Seahawks defensive starters). Ouch. Seahawks 27, Falcons 34.
The fourth quarter continues the scoring bonanza -- a 55-yard pass to Crumpler to tie the game. Seahawks 27, Falcons 27.
A beautiful 29-yard run from Maurice Morris ends with a Seattle TD. Seahawks 27, Falcons 20.
47-year-old Anderson hits a 37-yard FG. Seahawks 20, Falcons 20.
Josh Brown hits a 51-yard FG. Seahawks 20, Falcons 17.
On the NFC watch, Chicago is handling the Saints easily -- 31-17 in the third.
Third quarter, Seneca is in at QB for the Seahawks.
Morton Anderson (wow -- he's still in the NFL?) hits a 30-yard Atlanta FG to tie the game at the half, Seahawks 17, Falcons 17.
Matt, under pressure, tosses a lob to Bobby Engram for a TD and a three point lead. Great catch. Perfect pass. Seahawks 17, Atlanta 14.
After the recovery, two plays and Dunn runs it in for a TD. Atlanta takes the lead, Seahawks 10, Atlanta 14.
That may have been the worst third and forty, ever. Yes, after Matt took an intentional grounding penalty, the Seahawks faced third and forty. On the play, Matt was sacked, fumbled the ball, and Atlanta recovered. Ugly, ugly possession.
Joe Horn catches a short TD pass from Chris Redman and closes the gap. Atlanta moved the ball down the field with a long screen pass and two nice Dunn runs (7 plays, 71 yards). Seahawks 10, Atlanta 7.
Second quarter, Josh Brown hits a 54-yard field goal to extend the Seahawks lead. Atlanta is certainly bringing the heat, blitzing on seemingly every snap. Seahawks 10, Falcons 0. On the NFC playoff hunt, New Orleans is losing to the Bears, 10-0.
Impressive first drive for the Seahawks. Shaun came back in and looked fine, getting his 100th career rushing TD. Congrats, No. 37. Seahawks 7, Falcons 0.
First quarter, after Shaun's first run he checks himself out and heads to the trainers and the bench. Looks like he was holding his right hip.

34 - 13 Green Bay is ahead in the 4th quarter. You don't see them mailing it in in a "don't matter" game. Very disappointing and not conducive to carrying momentum into the playoffs.

I'll tell you one thing, I didn't picture us going 10-6 this season. How pathetic. If the cowboys, green bay, or jacksonville, had our schedule they would possibly go undefeated, or atleast no worse then 14-2. At the beginning of the season I thought for sure we would end up with 14 or 13 wins at the end of the year, boy, was I wrong. After all the free agent acquisition and being relatively healthy this year, I really expected more. I thought coming into today that the hawks would try to keep the momentum going and try to actually play all they're starters the whole game. They also had a chance to get the record for least amount of points scored in a season against they're defense.
