Rookie QB to start v. Seahawks
Rewind to last week? This time it'll be a Ravens rookie QB starting against the Seahawks. QB Troy Smith will make his first start Sunday after Kyle Boller missed his second practice (concussion). So far, last year's Heisman Trophy winner from Ohio State has played only four series in the NFL. Smith will be the third quarterback to start for the Ravens this season. Steve McNair started six games, but was placed on IR on December 3rd.

this is eerily familiar to last week. it seems like the hawks are favorites again, and the ravens may be due for a win. troy smith has looked pretty decent from what i've seen of him. he can scramble too, so that adds another dimension to their offense. regardless, seattle playing at home should take this.

Not another repeat --- Seahawks once again make a rookie QB look like he is ready for the Hall of Fame!

let me guess, we will not put any pressure on the rookie QB and give the recievers a ten yard cushion so they can get first down after first down and our offense won't show up because we are picked to win. Wait a minute we are at home so we will probably show up and play. Its to bad we have to go on the road in the playoffs. Even though we are going to the playoffs in my 25 years cheering for the hawks I have to say this has been my most dissapointing as a fan because I think of the players we have aquired, coaches we have and we still don't show up for games on the road, we pay professional linemen millions of dollars and they can't figure out blocking assignments 17 weeks into a season, im sorry but blocking is not rocket science, our MVP running back can't figure out that running straight ahead for 2-3 yards is better than running sideways for -1 or -2 yards. I hate hearing he is a finess running back or he is hurt, when you can watch the game and see he only runs hard inside the twenty, he falls when the first person touches him, do they not teach high knee drills and keep your feet moving anymore. our line may not the best and it is definitely not the worst so we shouldn't look as bad as we do running. Why don't we throw the ball down field more often or use the tight end. As good as a job holmgren has done I think he is holding back a very explosive offense with his conservative calling. I could go on but I will get to my point, with the team we have and the schedule we had there is no reason for the hawks not to be playing for homefield advantage lord knows we need it. Even though we have a good record I did not forsee 11-5 or 10-6 for this team. Im not exactly sure what our records is when we don't get a turnover but i know its not good which tells me our offense is not good enough to go point for point with a decent team and on paper we should be better than all but maybe 3 or 4 teams and we know who they are. Sorry for being negative just needed to vent. I thought this was our year. Maybe they will still win it all and make everyone due a double take. no matter what happens you gotta love our HAWKS.

Let's just hope that Seattle doesn't come out as flat as they did against the Panthers. Seattle really needs to bring their 'A' game for the rest of the regular season. The Seahawks have run issues, special team coverage issues and they need a few more looks at the new long snapper. Robinson is looking the best of the three (to name the three MOST glaring issues), with our non-existance running game being our biggest shortcoming. 11-5 is still a moderately respectable record and the Seahawks could go on another streak, but it has to happen THIS SUNDAY. If our defense comes to play and Hasselback is allowed to open things up, we as fans could be in for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Seattle certainly has the talent, I just hope they can bring it together and make a run, now that it REALLY matters. Go Seahawks!!!!

Wow. I am once again shocked at the infantile behavior of some folks on this site. I must have deeply offended you in some way and if I did I apologize but I will ask you to please stop posting messages with my name. Go Seahawks.
