Press conference highlights

Just got back from the Wednesday press conference in Kirkland. First off, coach Holmgren addressed the injury status. DJ Hackett and Josh Wilson ran a bit this morning and Mike hopes to have the players back by the final regular-season game.

There was plenty of Pro Bowl talk, and Holmgren was obviously disappointed that Bobby Engram didn't get the nod. However, he said the WR took the news as a professional. Holmgren called Walter Jones the best offensive lineman he'd ever coached, and gave high praise for the development of Tatupu. Holmgren also singled out Deon Grant as another player he thought should be heading to Hawaii.

About the Ravens, almost all the talk was of the defense, Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs and Ed Reed, and how distruptive they can be -- especially to the offensive blocking schemes. Raven's offensive coordinator Rick Neuheisel's name came up, but I'll post that next.
