Holmgren: Cut Alexander some slack
During the Mike Holmgren show, the coach had this to say when asked about Shaun Alexander: "The thing that I would emphasize that after his first carry, I could hear, you know, there was some displeasure coming from the stands. And I would just ask everybody to cut him a little slack. He was the MVP of football a couple years ago. He wants to help the team win. He's played all year with a cast on his wrist. And his accepted this role and done it really beautifully."

They weren't booing Shaun, they were booing Coach for putting Shaun in. If he isn't 100%, put in someone who is.

Winning is the best deodorant. Right now despite some obvious problems, aka special teams, long snapper and a minimal running game, Seattle is winning and getting the job done. Go Seahawks!!!!

Mo has the best nothing short of steller since he has been in the game, but let's not take anything away from Shaun. Sure he isn't 100% healthy, but his leadership and attitude in wanting to play anyway he can to help his team win says volumes. Between shaun and Mo running in the same game helps put the other team off balance in trying to defend against both talanted players. I like this mixup in keeping the other team guessing. Both Mo and Shaun had a good game today and the best is still to come. Remember Shaun was the MVP the year we went to the SuperBowl and he will help us get there again. Can we please do something with are punting and snapping game. It was less the perfect today. We kicked the ball on our five yard line and the ball lands at the hawks 35 yard line. Not good. And let's not forget the ball getting away from the punter either and giving the Cards good feild position.

The fans boo Shaun because while his leadership may be more prevalent off the field, no one see the fire in his running as they did in the past. His lack of consistency is dishartning!

Speaking of 2005... The Hawks have not officially been redeemed by the curse!
All decade long, the loser of the Super Bowl suffered a season of not making the playoffs the following year. Now Chicago has fallen to the curse. Which means, when the Seahawks made it into the playoffs and the Steelers didn't in 2006, the Refs must have thrown the game, as now the curse has fully revealed! So Mr. Roselle, why did youstep down?

Man... Look at all of the fair-weather fans out there!! Shaun is not only an excellent player, but a great role model. We love the SEAHAWKS TEAM,and last time I checked, Shaun was part of the team. Give him a break!!I would like to see half these people get out there and do the job he is doing!

OK Brandi, I will be waiting for Shaun Alexander to regain his powerful running style. At present, I am not a believer(and I have never been a huge Alexander fan) but I think the mix of Mo Morris and Shaun is a really good way to go.
Please prove to us, Shaun, that you are not a huge waste of salary cap.

To me Shaun is running hard and has looked good the last 2 games. With Shaun, MO, & Weaver the offense is getting more dangerous just at the right time.

First off, I don't agree with the fans booing Shaun Alexander, his running game hasn't been the same eversince Steve Hutchinson sold the seahawks out. Shaun, Mo, and Weaver are doin big things in little ways so let them do their job and keep the wins comming. I give props to our offensive line for holding it down on protecting Matt Haselbeck. Deffense has been on a tear and they are a bunch of hungry beast out there and shoot they make me proud. Special teams...well hope you guys can manage and hold it down cause in the off season there should be some major overhaul on that squad. Can't wait to see the patriots in the superbowl hahah Go Seahawks!!!

I do not know what the game with the Panthers looked like from the sidelines but I do know that from home on TV I was watching a totally unmotivated Seahawks team. If as fans we are honest with ourselves about our winning record this year we have to conceed that at least two of our wins were gifts from the teams we were playing. Last, but certainly not least, while Shaun may be a past MVP and a great guy his running skills are absolutly not what they use to be. Morris and
Weaver "charge" forward attacking the defensive line of our opponents. Shaun appears to "lumber" forward while looking for a hole to open. He just does not appear to have the quickness needed to be even a good running back let alone a great running back. To be quite honest, Shaun looks more like he is trying to prevent being injured more than he is trying to gain yardage. I admire Shaun's past accomplishments and his "role-model" presence in the community but his best playing days may be behind him.
