Beaten by a rookie

You know what no pressure on a rookie QB gets the Seahawks? An ugly loss. With the thumping, the Packers (who showed up to play in St. Louis) clinch a first-round bye. Say what you will, but the Seahawks looked flat. The offense didn't get going until way too late. Let any team stick around too long...

Because of the way this defense is built (speed), they play better with a lead. The linebackers did great against the run, but not getting any pressure on the opposing QB with the front four is a flaw that could be exposed in the playoffs.

No, this is all part of Mike's gameplan. Lose on purpose to make ourselves look weaker than we actually are going into the postseason. It is actually quite smart. Worried?? Not me. :-P

if u think this game wasn't pre-determined, i have some WWF tickets i'd like to sell u. as TB said he was sending Seattle fans some LOVE cause they probably knew in advance how the games would go?????Hmmmm!! maybe the commish and owners set down and detrmine who wins what/when.maybe i'm becoming psychic because i told my wife Seattle would lose before the game.

Mike holmgrens game plan is as flat as his game day coaching.
He needs to make adjustments when they play so lousey.
They will go nowhere in the playoffs.
Shaun looks like an average runner at best to me.

It all comes down to Shaun Alexander. He simply doesn't have the heart to play at this level anymore. Mike Holmgren needs to recognize that. Once he got his big contract he was done. If we want to make a run into the playoffs with some pretty tough road games ahead of us we have to go with what works and don't even try the things that don't. #1 on that list is to extremely minimize Shaun's carries. Make Mo the starter for the rest of the year. Use Shaun as a change of pace back and only give him the ball 4 or 5 times a game. Keep using the passing game. Play aggressively not conservatively. Do those few things and we can win. Do what we did today and we'll be done in the first round. And talk about some angry Hawks fans if we lose in the wildcard game at home. Holmgren will need a police escort to get out of the stadium. Especially if he continues to use Shaun and it costs us the game. I'm hoping we can do it but after today I'm a little worried.

Why is this team so inconsistant????? Alot of people wonder how they can play so GOOD one week and screw up so bad the next. It isn't any wonder commentators think Seattle isn't a credible team. (eg.) comments at the end of todays game about Seattles' chances in the playoffs with NO running game. Can you say zilch, zero, goose egg, notta???

It was pretty obvious that the Hawks were flat.
Maybe they all had a bad breakfast? Cannot understand all the people trying to blame Shaun. When he has blocking he looks good. It's a team game, if the D did better on 3rd down the hawks would have had a better chance.

Unbelievable!! Just as unbelievable as losing to the Saints..what the $@%# is happening? Absolutely representative of why we get no respect and why we will lose 1st round of playoffs...we don't play PROFESSIONAL consistent football. And it is a team issue as well as individual issues

I so agree with disgusted fan..we continue like this we will never get any respect.. The only good things happening today is the Ravens lost and Miami won,and Tony Romo had a worse game then Matt did.

I gotta say it. Why did we not kick a FG when we were on their 40 yrd line with the wind at our backs? We all seen how bad the wind made John Casey's 36 yarder look like a screwball pitch from baseball. So why not kick one with the wind to our advantage? Josh Brown has the leg and with the wind advantage it adds up to a easy 3 points! And let's talk about Shawn. I think it's time the coach puts some over paid butts on the bench and let people with the drive to win play! Defence played a good game again. To bad the offence stayed home!
Michael

I was so pissed when Holmgren decided to kick the field goal when we were 4th and 1 on our 1 yard line. Talk about a game changing play. Had we taken that chance (Weaver anyone?). If they make it we'd have likely won the game, if we lose it then we're still only down by 3 points.

Mike needs to TAKE A FRICKEN CHANCE once in a while. Geez.. he's so predictable. His play calling reminds me of the Farmer's Almanac.
