Mike, Congratulations on winning the Division Title again! I was watching this past weeks HBO's "Inside the NFL" this past week. Not one mention of the Seahawks or the great win over Baltimore. It's as though West Coast Teams do not exist. It's all about the Giants, Redskins, Dallas, Green Bay, Indianapolis and of course, New England. I'm not going to use the "Dis" word, but it doesn't seem like the media gives the Hawks much regard, nor expect them to get past the 1st round. Does this bother you and/or does this motivate the team or does this lack of regard even matter?

Coach, Are you now or have you ever worn velcro strap shoes?

Coach, I enjoy how the offense spreads the defense from left to right with sucess, however it is rare to see the offense go deep, or over the top. (the Raiders have been huge on this over the years) Is the strategy due to a lack of QB Arm or WR speed, or both?

Coach Holmgren,
We've heard that several of our players have worn 'special necklaces' recently. In your opinion, how much did the 'Titanium necklace factor' play a role in Matt's performance against the Falcons and his oblique in his performance today? :)

When you see the pressure falling short for the 4 – 3 defense have you talked to marshal about switching to the 3 – 4 to get a faster player on the field or even a better matchup on the tight end ?

Can you explain what happened on the grounding call in the first half? It looked like Hackett was in the vicinity of the ball.

Coach, what did you think of Hasselbeck running backwards for nearly 30 yards in that intentional grounding play?

With the game tied going to the 2nd half, did you consider leaving Matt in the game?

Are you concerned, at this point in the season, that Josh Brown had to make two touchdown saving tackles today?

Coach,
It seemed like the defense wasn't playing with the same intensity that they usually play with. Was it something you said to them (considering that this was the last game and it has no effect on our playoff situation), or was it their mistake?

Coach:
With the game tied at the half do you wish you had kept Matt in the game rather than giving up for way to many mistakes made by Wallace. Being tied I think that you might have needed to reevaluate you desicion a little disapointing. Other wise it was a good season and were off to the playoffs.

Why are you seemingly unable to motivate the team to perform to their potential? Do you feel maybe it is time for you to step aside.
Posted by: Mike | December 30, 2007 12:43 PM
Mike the poster above, what are you talking about. That is ATL's first string playing our secondary in a game that doesn't matter? Coach has sent us into the post season 5 times in a row, and is SEA's all time winningest coach and you thing he should step aside. You are out of your mind dude.

Why is it that some of our defensive players think that by hitting a ball carrier with their shoulder is the proper tackling technique to use?

I would like to know what happened to the fire that the 05 team had.
Why can't these guy's get motivated?
What will you do differant to bring the fire back???
Do you think you can win by just showing up?

Coach,
Did you do something to increase the pocket protection in the second half or were the falcons just less determined to rush the passer with Matt gone? Also, during the second half our players on the side lines looked so very bored? Only the last play got players up on their feet. Already planning for vacation? Next career move? Greater focus and engaement in the game guys. Come to my house for a lesson if need be.

Coach, I know there wasn't anything riding on this one, but I have to wonder what defensive adjustments your going to make after making Redman look like Brady with no pass rush, no pass coverage and inconsistant at best tackling.

Mike, in your opinion, how well did Seneca Wallace lead the offense down the field? Despite the turnovers, did he perform better then you were expecting, leading the team to 2 more touchdowns? I hope that down the stretch, he is still considered for OUR future. Even the best still get stripped and throw interceptions.

Coach, don't . . . er, wait -- I mean, do let today's loss affect your attitude and confidence going into the postseason.

Coach is STRENGTH & conditioning a priority for the Hawks? I believe this helps cut down on injuries plus the blocking benefits to the O line.

Dear Mr. Holmgren,
I know that the game today did not effect the play-off picture as far as our standings are concerned. And I understand that we don't want to get our players hurt right before the play-off's. But doesn't hurt your feelings a little bit that the players desire to win, and beat the other team, isn't great enough to cause them to try hard enough to win? I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope that when the play-off's start, that we are ready to play!
