Preview: Seahawks at Eagles

2:30 PM Tue, Nov 27, 2007 |

From the Seahawks:
Seattle, winners of four of its last five, carries a three-game winning streak to Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday. Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. (PT) and the game will be televised on FOX (channel 13 in Seattle).

Philadelphia leads the all-time series by a 6-4 advantage but Seattle took the most recent match-up on December 5, 2005, on Monday Night Football by the score of 42-0, led by Seattle’s three defensive touchdowns including two by Andre Dyson in his 11 defensive plays on the night (ankle).

Seattle has outscored Philadelphia 80-0 in its last two trips to the City of Brotherly Love; 42-0 in 2005 and 38-0 on September 6, 1998. Philadelphia won the most recent trips to Seattle in 2001 and 2002.

With a win this weekend, Mike Holmgren will tie Chuck Knox for most career Seattle victories. Holmgren is currently 79-60 in the regular season (3-5 postseason) while Knox compiled an 80-63 regular season record (3-4 postseason) in his nine years at the helm. Holmgren can also become the winningest active career head coach this weekend with a Seattle win and a Washington Redskins loss to the Buffalo Bills. His 166-107 career record trails Joe Gibbs’ 167-99 record. Denver’s Mike Shanahan ranks third with 144 wins.

In last week’s game, Nate Burleson set Seattle records for most punt returns (42) and punt return yards (473) in a single season. Last week also marked the first time in team history with two kickoff returns for touchdowns in a season.
