Mack Strong's career over
Mack Strong said in a press conference this afternoon that Sunday's injury (a herniated disk is pinching his spinal cord in his neck) was the sign that it's time to end his 15-year NFL career. The FB for the Seattle Seahawks had tingling in his left arm when he woke up on Sunday and after taking a hit in the game, had numbness in his hands and legs. The TNT is reporting that Strong will not need surgery. You can also read more at the Seattle Times. Hats off to a great Seahawk.

Thank you Mac for countless years of fighting in the trenches to make the Hawks a better team and they were a better team with you in there. I will look forward to your induction speech in the Hall of Fame in 5 years. You are one of the greatest Hawks of all time!

Mack, it's been great. Along with having the greatest fullback name ever (know of any other fullbacks who share their name with a big truck?), you've truly been one of the greatest fullbacks of the NFL.
My vote goes to retiring number 38.

Me and My wife vote, retire number 38 with honor and fly a big 38 flag from the needle!

The backfield suddenly seems pretty empty without #38. You've done right for your family and teammates throughout your career. Thanks for everything Mack.
