The PI and the TNT are both reporting that Seahawks DE Marcus Tubbs, who injured his right knee in last night's preseason game versus the Raiders, is done for the season with a torn ACL. No official announcement has been made yet.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is why the preseason should count a little. Each game preseason should be worth 1/2 a regular season game. That way, after a 3 and 1 preseason the Hawks would be 1.5 and .5. Then at least when a good player is injured and out for the season, it was at least worth it.

My thoughts exactly.
However, I think preseason does count for something. It gives the teams a chance to fine tune their plays, improve their timing, and figure out where to put the various players on their depth charts.

NO!!!!!!!!!! Is right!
Without Tubbs we cannot stop the run, which opens up big passing plays. We all saw it last year ala Frank Gore and in the superbowl. Holmgren should have never had him in there! We are in big big trouble this year (again) with a run defense that is such a liability.
