February 2008

This is the time of year my Inner Fan walks around the house, mumbling the theme song from MNF. You know what I'm talking about. So where do the Hawks stack up in the National eye? Well, I'm not a betting man and I don't condone it. However, oddsmakers are on more often than not. World Sports Exchange has the Seahawks 23-1 to make the Superbowl (Chicago is highest in the NFC, at 15-1). ESPN's Power Rankings are out. They have the Hawks starting out in the tenth spot. SI.com has the Seahawks to win the NFC with a 9-7 record, but losing to the Panthers in the Wild Card game. And lastly, the braintrust at USA Today has the Seahawks in tenth place as well. You know what I think? Go Hawks! 1 Comments |
It's typical to be underated by the national press. That's fine by me and I'm sure it's fine by the Seahawks. Flying under the radar is sometimes the best way to go. Let all of the other teams crumble under the pressure and we will gladly take their place come February. God knows we have the talent and ability to get it done. This time though, we will not lose the big game against the other team OR the refs.
