New NFL Rules - 12th Man Included

7:17 PM Mon, Jun 18, 2007 |

The NFL has new rules for the 2007 season. Here's a website that has a pretty good breakdown. It's actually from a Patriots blog called Pats Pulpit. One might be of interest to the 12th Man, is the "Crowd Noise" rule. You can cheer as loud as you want without fear of a 5-yard penalty against the Hawks. Though I can't remember the last time they called it, in the past, if a quarterback couldn't hear or be heard, a ref, at his discretion, could call a 5-yard penalty against the home team. Plus, players can no longer spike the ball unless they've scored a touchdown. And there's much more that might be of interest, including instant replay, taunting, and more.

Just got back from Dallas on business....Like or hate the Cowboys',thier blogs are full of comments from readers. This is a ghost town compared to that. Come Seattle, get involved!

I personnally chalenge the refs to throw a flag on our noise, In the past weve had our fair share of flags to hurt us why not. I guarentee though if they throw a flag ill get even louder next time. I for one say go for it penalize the very fan who pays your saleries by buying tix penalize the very base of support the NFL has intact... better yet why dont you just get over it!!!

the 12th man rule is unfair as not all stadiums have the noise capabuility as the other
