According to Mike Sando of the Tacoma News Tribune, the Seahawks have signed safety Brian Russell. Russell is another guy that fills the typical player that the Seahawks like. He's a hard working, intelligent player, good person off the field, hard hitting on the field type of guy. He started with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent. If I remember correctly, he earned a bonus from the NFL or a better contract from the Vikes for playing beyond his supposed abilities in either 2002 or 2003. Sorry, I'm not 100% on the details, but my point is, he's got a great work ethic, good in the locker room, and should be a solid backup on the Hawks. |
