True to their word, the Seahawks have quickly hired a new vice president of football administration. Former Arizona Cardinals executive John Idzik will take over for Mike Reinfeldt. He'll perform the same duties as Reinfeldt. Idzik will be in charge of player negotiations, the salary cap, and some day-to-day operations. The hiring kind of comes as no surprise due to Idzik's history. Hawks President Tim Ruskell worked with him in Tampa. Here's Ruskell's take: “John is very talented and well respected in league circles. He will step right in during this important period and play a key role in our continued success.”

Ive been a dedicated Seahawk fan for 20 yrs now. I follow there every move. W/ this yrs draft I think they should draft Brian Leonard if he is still available. With Mack Strong on his last leg, I feel Leonard would be a great fit for their already talented off. Not to mention what he would do for the special teams. He's just one of those guys you want on your team as a great team player. If this message could be sent to the front office that would be greatly appriciated. A response of some sort would be welcomed.
