Hasselbeck has surgery

9:13 PM Thu, Jan 18, 2007 |

The Associated Press reports that Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck had surgery today. Doctors fixed the torn labrum problem is his left-shoulder (his non-throwing arm). Mike Sando of the Tacoma News Tribune reports that Hasselbeck had it done in Alabama. Dr. James Andrews gave him the second opinion. If Dr. Andrews did the surgery, Hasselbeck's shoulder should be money by the time camp starts. Dr. Andrews is a world renown surgeon. He's the guy who fixed Saints QB Drew Brees shoulder when he had a torn labrum. That was in his throwing arm and that didn't turn out too bad, did it. Hasselbeck will probably miss Mini-camps in May & June, but he should be back in time for Training Camp in July. One last note to pass on...Defensive Backs Coach Teryl Austin took a job with the Cardinals in the same capacity. He's been with the Hawks for the past 4 seasons.

I wish him a speedy and complete recovery. Work your ass off and come back the best ever, Matt.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

GO SEAHAWKS!!

Same story every year since 1976. LOL

JASON JASON JASON,
WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH YOU.WE CAN ALL SEE YOUR NOT A HAWK FAN, SO YOU MUST BE A RAIDER FAN(LOOSER)SO IF YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH THE BIGBOYS THAN GET OUT OF OAKLAND(LMAO)

Hawker37 said:

Matt,

Thank you for being a better quarterback than Tony Romo. At least we know that when you get voted into the Pro Bowl it is because of your effort on the field and not because Jerry Jones is the owner of the team you play on.

Jason said:

Hawker37,

I am not sure if you know how the Pro Bowl selection goes.....but, I won't waste my time explaining it to you.

Anyway, how can call winning 5 of your first 6 starts not showing it on the field. I guess you need attend NFL 101 and also take a class on success as an elective. LMAO

Anyway, goodluck AGAIN next year. Maybe you all might win one this century. LOL

bettinondabearsss said:

Tony just sux as a "holder"... thank God he's a QB... scratch that. A GREAT (young) QB. But this is about Matt in here. GET WELL MATT! You're on your way back already! Don't let 'em see ya comin'.

Hawker37 said:

Jason,

I know how pro-bowl balloting works and I also know that certain teams get unfair representation without having a lot of production (like the Cowboys). He only played in 6 games and up until recently everyone was treating him like the second coming of Joe Montana.

bettinondabearsss said:

Who cares? He's not a Seahawk.

Hawker37 said:

So I see that it is now between Jason and bettinondadumbasses to see which one is the alpha-female.

Hawker37 said:

I thought you weren't responding to any of my posts?

bettinondabearsss said:

And I thought you were an adult. Who knew?

bettinondabearsss said:

Actually, I liken what you have to say, to... let's say a "car accident". Hard not to look & see how bad it is. Only your little "car wrecks" are like when the Shriners maybe get their signals crossed in a "Save The Seahawks" parade and have a mishap.

You know it's obvious if the Hawks were healthy, they are the class of the NFC. With their weak division, they could have easily gotten home field just like last year and teams like Chicago and New Orleans would have had no chance. But unfortunately it wasn't to be this season, so I will turn into a Saints fan like the rest of America this weekend(except for those in the Chicago city limits) and hopefully sit back and watch the saints dish a little butt-kicking to an overrated Bears team.

bettinondabearsss said:

No, what's obvious is no matter how healthy the Hawks are, they still lose. Or have they never been healthy? Either way, they're out and sitting watching it all play out w/ the rest of the losers. Better luck next season.

Hmmm said:

Do you trash talk the Hawks like this to your wife or is this one of those things where she wears the pants in the family and you are insecure so this is your rebelious act so in some sick little way you can get back at her?

Tee-Hee

'Hawk Nation said:

Probably a little of both, I would guess.

bettinondabearsss said:

Yes, please "guess". I LOVE it when the Hawks and their pathetic fans guess. We all,(in the rest of the NFL) are aware of those results.

bettinondabearsss said:

Also aware that displaying your drivel here, as opposed to real life, saves that little trip to the ER.

bettinondabearsss said:

Well, at least they still have Mardi Gras..... and their FEMA trailers.

bettinondabearsss said:

So Ron, now that the wheels fell off that Aint's bandwagon you jumped on I take it you're an AFC fan now? lmfao, gl

Hawker37 said:

bettinondadumbasses,

You are still here? I thought you would have grown a pair after your vindication on Sunday? I guess we will just have to wait and see if the Super Bowl loser curse returns for the Bears, or maybe Seattle broke it for good?

bleedhawkblue said:

bettinondabearss is a symbolic representation of everything that is wrong with America. Like his distasteful comments about FEMA trailers and Mardi Gras. Living in a temporary FEMA trailer is better than living in the double wide you currently occupy. At least people in New Orleans have the option of getting out of the FEMA trailer. For you it will be from the double wide, to the single wide and then finally to the retirment home.

Wah wah wah. Must hurt to be a loser AND be wrong week after week after. I understand. Especially after all that "statistic crunching" and "archive searching". Too bad for the Hawks, Saints and Colts, the Bears aren't buyin' any of it. I care about what you losers think of me and my comments about as much as Chicago gives a F about Manning's next commercial endorsement. Good luck Jim Mora. Try to help these poor souls get on the winning track and off the whining one. If you're not cleaning a latte out of your laptops on the 4th, try to catch the game. Hope you're hungry and in the mood for sh*t. Think I'll go out and change the tires on my house, now. If the thought of that brings a smile to you sad, whining, excuse-making losers, glad I could give you a scrap of something to stop crying, and smile about. GO BEARS!!! P.S. You're the ones that asked me to come back after the NFC Championship game. Here I am.

Hawker37 said:

Are you the fat guy with the gout wearing the Urlacher jersey that I saw at the Bellevue mall? If so, one word for ya...deodorant. Don't pull a muscle in your vagina changing the tires on your house.

Hawker37 said:

One more thing, since we are a losing team and you follow the Hawks so much can you tell us the year we last had a losing record?

Hawker37 said:

Do you have one of those stupid asinine accents like the people for Chicago have? If so it will explain a lot of what is in your posts.

bettinondabearsss said:

I had "tasteful" comments on here when I started. Just guess I shouldn't have stooped to the level of the dim-bulbs on your blog. If anyone reading this needs to verify "who stooped first", scroll to the top of this blog and read my entries, then see who started the downward spiral that you're sniveling about, now. I'd say I've been rather restrained with some of you dorks. Your "passionate" fans I can relate to. The stupid ones are an entirely different story. I tried, to no avail, to keep the subject on Matt & his surgery. Hawker37 wanted to turn it into another "Romo bash". When you're through throwing stones, go check the tire pressure on YOUR house.

bettinondabearsss said:

Sorry, can't pull up any of your "loser" stats. I follow the BEARS... oh and my wife around... with a box of kleenex. Wasn't at the mall, but I can be if you want me to be.

bettinondabearsss said:

later losers... try to talk about Matt's surgery here. That WAS supposed to be what this particular blog was for.

bettinondabearsss said:

Going back to the top of this blog and reading down (except for the FEMA trailer comment) it's pretty clear to me who the problem is. And it's not me. By the way, your QB is now 2 weeks post-op, and doing fine. Saw him making his prediction on NFL Network Tuesday. BEARS. Get well Matt, and good luck.
